  • Police K-9 unit, come out now, send a dog!

  • Show me your hands!

  • I'm gonna send a dog!

  • Get on the ground! I'm gonna send a dog!

  • That was body camera footage from my brother, Patrick, at his job as a K-9 officer in my home state of Florida.

  • So this is your ride?

  • This is my ride.

  • His police car is an unmarked Ford F-150.

  • Inside the car is various equipment like this rifle, which is a Sig M400, and also a computer that contains records.

  • And because he's on the K-9 unit, a dog.

  • He's a patrol purpose dog, and tracking, so he can track, and he's also a narcotic detection dog.

  • In the back, there's more equipment and dog supplies, like this fake gun that's used for dog training.

  • Give me a silent.

  • The radio and the mic, e-collar, taser, medical supplies again, but that's at the station.

  • Obviously I have a gun, it's a Glock .40 caliber, handcuffs, leash, magazines.

  • Then our mission began.

  • He works from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.

  • But our first stop was the police station.

  • I got a tour of the K-9 area.

  • So these are the bite suits.

  • And an interesting offer from my brother.

  • He asked me if I wanted to get bit by his dog.

  • My heart is in my chest.

  • But I am brave.

  • I will do it.

  • Leave it.

  • Leave it.

  • I love you.

  • Woo!

  • Woo!

  • Woo!

  • That was so hard.

  • Woo!

  • And over here is a temporary detainment area.

  • Then we were on the road.

  • Do you get less calls when it's raining like this?

  • Yes and no. It depends.

  • Calls still come out, like people are still gonna fight and argue and whatever.

  • Somebody's in the back of my house trying to break in.

  • You're probably not gonna get that.

  • I would postpone my burglary plans if it were raining.

  • I mean, I'm a cop, so

  • I would know when the best time to burglarize the house would be probably when it's raining.

  • No one's gonna really find you.

  • So tip for all the criminals out there.

  • Burglarize when it's raining.

  • This job is very, like, you never really know. Every call is not the same because everything's different. It's not like you're going to your 9 to 5 job and you're doing the same thing every day. Some days

  • I don't use my dog. Some days I do use my dog. So do you always have the dog with you now that you're a K-9 officer?

  • All the time. Every time I'm working he's working.

  • So I don't know if you can tell by the lights, but we just pulled up to the call.

  • Obviously for safety reasons, I'm required to stay in the car. And that's him doing his work.

  • He's shining lights in the car.

  • After securing the area, he came back to the truck to get his dog out to sniff the car.

  • After the call, he gave me a quick brief on what happened.

  • It was a traffic stop.

  • He didn't have a valid license to drive.

  • I guess she probably had multiple suspensions on her license.

  • And if you have that and stay in Florida, you can get arrested for it.

  • First person of the night, behind bars.

  • No matter what job you have, you can't escape paperwork.

  • Right after the first call, he got called to a second.

  • What were those two guys in trouble for?

  • We could smell marijuana in the car.

  • We have a little thing of a normal mason jar. They were detained for the investigation of the marijuana. We did not arrest them for the marijuana.

  • It's almost like a legal thing, so we really don't get involved in all that.

  • In the car, they looked through all the bags, all of their

  • IDs, their wallets, everything.

  • They are searching every inch of these guys.

  • There's one thing everyone has to worry about.

  • Whether you're a civilian, a cop, or a bad guy, everyone has to worry about their dental hygiene. And that's where this comes in.

  • Let me tell you guys about this toothbrush I've been using.

  • Xiaorongjia P20 Pro

  • Perfect for people like my brother who need a quick but effective clean.

  • The high-frequency vibration with a 60-degree ultra-large swing can reach those hard-to-reach areas. It's also equipped with an intelligent tooth surface recognition technology.

  • The YouSmile P20 Pro is equipped with a self-developed cushioning brush head, which is made of the same material as a baby's pacifier. Don't have to worry about accidentally knocking your teeth when brushing in a hurry.

  • And the app will let you know if you missed a spot.

  • That way, you won't get dental issues from repeatedly not brushing an area.

  • It also has a 90-day battery life and is completely waterproof, which makes it perfect for quick and effective cleaning after eating during a short break.

  • Smile Plus is an old brand in the oral industry and is sold in more than 30 regions around the world. It's very trustworthy, and that's why it's the first in sales in China.

  • The price of 200 yuan can buy 1,000 yuan worth of dental products

  • It's decent and practical to give as a gift. Whether you're a police officer on patrol or just a busy person,

  • Smile Plus P20 Pro will support you.

  • Believe me, your teeth will thank you.

  • What's your relationship like with your dog?

  • He's my boy.

  • We work together.

  • He lives in my house.

  • I probably see him sometimes more than I see my own family.

  • So, what's his name?

  • Akuma from Street Fighter.

  • What's your craziest call or story?

  • I've been on shootings and murders and suicides.

  • You name it, you can imagine it. You've probably been through it.

  • Obviously, America has a drug problem.

  • How would you say it is where you work?

  • That stuff is based on population.

  • We're not a big metropolitan city, so it's not going to be crazy huge.

  • It's still a problem. It's an issue.

  • It can be a major issue if you don't have the control on it.

  • You can get the children's hands when it shouldn't be.

  • A lot of things happen, unfortunately.

  • How many calls a night, usually, involving drugs?

  • Sometimes I get none. Sometimes I'll get five.

  • It all depends on how busy the guys are on the road.

  • If they have some sort of suspicion, they'll call me and I'll run my dog.

  • My dog will tell me yes or no.

  • What would you say is the most common drug that you find?

  • Meth and cocaine.

  • I had you in a video before and a lot of my followers saw your tattoo.

  • How do you guys feel getting arrested for a job when it is how you sleep?

  • Next up, I have some questions that my followers ask you in particular.

  • They want to know what the most dangerous call you've encountered on the job was.

  • Anybody with a weapon.

  • Because usually you don't know what's going to happen.

  • You're kind of just the balls in there for it.

  • Are there too many homeless people and are homeless people a threat to society?

  • Yeah, homelessness is everywhere.

  • Some people just fall in unfortunate circumstances and you'd be surprised the amount of people that prefer to live that way.

  • It's kind of shocking for me when I encounter a lot of them.

  • They don't want their responsibility.

  • They just want to be away from everything.

  • More power on them doing what they want to do.

  • So would you say that they're a threat to people in our area?

  • Averagely no.

  • The ones we deal with all the time are the reason why we're dealing with them is because they're doing stuff they shouldn't do.

  • They're shooting scenes.

  • They're drunk in public.

  • Stuff like that.

  • So obviously I've always seen the worst of it.

  • So when a police dog is off duty will it be taken back to your home or back to the station?

  • He lives in my house.

  • He's in a room by himself in a kennel.

  • I let him out a bunch of times throughout the day.

  • I play with him but for the most part he stays.

  • He doesn't free roam the house.

  • He's not a pet.

  • His ideas of fun are two different things.

  • His idea of fun is working.

  • Because when he works he gets rewarded.

  • So his rewards are a toy, a ball, food.

  • Affection by me is something he loves.

  • So if he does his job right he gets rewarded. He knows that.

  • So what happens when he retires?

  • He will be my pet.

  • The questions have to stop because we are on the move.

  • Where are we speeding off to right now?

  • We're going so fast!

  • Whistle

  • Whistle

  • Whistle

  • Another weed car.

  • If you use a dog for weed you can use your nose.

  • Things were slowing down around 1 o'clock.

  • And this is where you guys might be starting to wonder what do cops do when there are no calls?

  • Well, this is what we did.

  • He was driving on the road when suddenly a scooter pulled out of an area that is known for having drugs.

  • My brother typed the plate number into his computer and checked the background.

  • It turned out that this scooter was registered to a woman but it was a man riding it.

  • Not to mention he was going nowhere near his home.

  • And it's not like my area has anything interesting to do at 1am on a Thursday.

  • He noticed Patrick and then randomly made a U-turn pulling into a parking lot.

  • My brother suspected that this was the guy's attempt to evade him.

  • So we pulled into a gas station to wait.

  • So you're waiting to see if that guy's gonna come back out.

  • Either he went to that bar which is fine, it's just weird how he got there or he's trying to hide from me so I will just sit here and wait.

  • We waited for around 7 minutes and gave up.

  • And just as we were waiting to pull out, guess who showed up?

  • That is him!

  • What?

  • What the fuck?

  • I was doubting, I was like you were being too suspicious.

  • I kind of thought that wasn't gonna happen.

  • You probably were thinking like oh you're getting paranoid or whatever.

  • No, I know where I'm talking about.

  • Yeah, there he is, right there. Wow.

  • Keeping these streets safe from ski-masked motorcycle men.

  • It's a scooter.

  • Scooter, my bad.

  • Alright, let's see, will he take a right to go home?

  • Or is he going to keep eating?

  • Oh, he's going home. Good for him.

  • So it's been a while without a call but what's this one?

  • It's a traffic stop and they're asking for a dog sniff.

  • So that was nothing but a still positive.

  • I searched the dog.

  • B and L go ahead, it wasn't showing any interest but they got consent to search the vehicle and the persons so that means there was nothing. Being a canine officer means that he'll get dragged to any call where there's a suspicion of drugs.

  • Because a dog sniff doesn't require a permit or permission.

  • So he has the duty of a regular cop and also a canine cop.

  • Another traffic stop.

  • Fantastic.

  • Maybe we'll get something.

  • So it seems like everybody here is just trying to find drugs. All the police officers.

  • No, only these two guys definitely hit it hard.

  • When I first got here nobody was really doing anything.

  • I started getting on to people.

  • People claiming that like, oh I want to get into a

  • Stonehound. I start showing them, telling them.

  • You know, they start seeing it. They're getting results.

  • They're looking good because they're making these arrests.

  • He becomes contagious. That's exciting because traffic stops, you never know what you're going to get.

  • And with drugs there's usually crazy stuff.

  • I think this is sixth.

  • I got a shit view guys.

  • I'm just stuck in this shitty spot.

  • I can't see anything.

  • This is the guy that I think they pulled over just now.

  • Nothing again?

  • Oh.

  • They got something.

  • The dog did his job and they found something. They don't know what yet.

  • And those two guys just got detained.

  • Fentanyl.

  • But not like the paraphernalia.

  • There's residue on a pocket knife.

  • That's the positive.

  • So what do you guys do with that?

  • Possession of paraphernalia.

  • Just take it away?

  • So because fentanyl is taken a lot more seriously than weed, obviously just this residue can get people in trouble.

  • Meanwhile, a small amount of actual marijuana will get people in trouble.

  • No. Weed is kind of like, it's probably going to be legal soon so that's why we're not hitting it hard that the SAO doesn't prosecute for it so there's no reason for us to bother with it.

  • Now for those who aren't that familiar with fentanyl, why is fentanyl taken so seriously?

  • Currently it's the number one drug that's killing people on overdoses.

  • And people are mixing it with other drugs so they'll think they're getting cocaine but really they're getting fentanyl.

  • And then they die from an overdose.

  • Because he only had traces of the fentanyl on the knife, it's a misdemeanor? Yeah, it's just called paraphernalia so anything that has drug residue test positive for drug residue, it's a paraphernalia's charge.

  • I feel bad, I'm just watching everybody's demise tonight.

  • From this air conditioned car.

  • Regretting their life decisions? Yeah.

  • Well if it was a second offense then I wouldn't say that he's regretting it.

  • It's more than two offenses, I'm sure.

  • Would you say that tonight is a busy night?

  • Yeah, it's been busy with a bunch of stops but it's just not a lot of rest, a lot of drugs.

  • Definitely a lot of dog sniffs, that's for sure.

  • Just after 4am, the shift ended. Another night of keeping the city safe. 421 and just finished up. Hopefully this video gave you guys some insight on what it's like being a cop in America. I had fun making this video. If you guys want to see more content like this, give it a thumbs up.

  • And I'll see you all next time. Bye!
