We've heard so many different leaks and rumours of what the iPhone 17 Pro Max could look like and I think that maybe one or two of them have been, you know, interpreted a little bit incorrectly.

So today I want to set the record straight by telling you the top 10 upgrades to look forward to in the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro models and why maybe you should wait out and get your hands on one of these when they are released.

Starting out with them, the actual camera on the rear because obviously this here is a big design change.

Now we've had quite a few leaks coming in saying that Apple are going to be changing the camera design on the rear to be a horizontal bar instead of, say, the sort of triangular look that we've had, say, for the last sort of five generations.

A lot of you guys are saying that you don't like this design and also a lot of you guys are saying, well, this is copying like the pixel sort of design that we've got right now.

And to be deadly honest, if you know your history, we'll say even the Galaxy S10 sort of devices, you know, they even had this kind of design before you even say the pixels actually did it.

And then, you know, I think Samsung actually dropped it straight after.

But what I believe is personally going to happen is I think the actual cameras are not going to be horizontal, but I actually think they're going to be vertical, very similar to like what these renders that you're seeing right here.

And one of the big reasons behind that is all to do with spatial vision or spatial video.

As we know right now, the camera orientation, say, on the iPhone 16 and 16 plus had to be changed to like this, a vertical sort of cameras to make spatial vision work.

And I think that obviously if you made this horizontal now, it's not going to potentially work that well.

You know, it might not even work at all.

And especially you're going to have to hold up your phone in a weird position to record.

It just doesn't make sense.

So to make them vertical instead, this to me makes a lot more sense for Apple to do this.

Just like what I said, you can see in these renders right here.

Now, I know with this, a lot of you guys are going to say this looks like, say, a Galaxy S24, the S24 plus like this.

And you are right.

It does look like this quite a bit.

But obviously, if we switch it to horizontal, it'll look like the pixel.

If we moved all the cameras, say, into the middle of the phone in the top middle, you guys are going to say it looks like a Xiaomi or OnePlus, for example.

I think, to be honest, I think, you know, manufacturers of phones with their cameras, you can't really not copy anybody else now.

It's going to be the way there's only a certain sort of positions you can put the cameras in.

And especially that so many cameras, you know, on the phones of this three or two of them or even sometimes four of them, there's only certain positions you can put them in.

So personally, I think that, you know, it could be a vertical kind of look on the back and it would actually, you know, be able to give us the idea of, say, spatial vision and also spatial video with this to make it more possible.

But with that, this leads on to the second upgrade that I want to talk about, and that is to do with the rear of the phone and actually what the material could be made out of.

You may have noticed this sort of two-tone effect here in this render.

And the main reason behind this is we've actually been told that now the Apple, as much as we've gone towards titanium, we could actually be going back to aluminum or aluminium, depending where you are in the world, how you say the word.

And it could actually be, say, a half aluminum and half glass back, what we could actually get.

The main reason why we'd have the glass back is because of, say, like MagSafe and things like this.

And to be honest, looking at these sort of renders, this gives vibes of, say, the original iPhone, the first generation.

If you remember the rear of this, this was kind of like a silver and black kind of look.

And this was really, really cool.

And it looks like Apple could be going back to those roots. 941 absolutely loved this design, but, you know, for actually going back to aluminum, I'm not too sure.

Maybe it's just aluminum, you know, around where the camera is, you know, on that part there and the rest of the actual body is going to be made out of titanium.

We just don't know at this stage.

But one thing is for sure is that it does look like we are going to be getting this sort of two-tone effect, what's going to be coming on the iPhone 17 Pro models.

But then moving on to the third upgrade, and that's to do with cameras.

On the rear of the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, we've been told that we could be getting the potential of a 48 megapixel inside the teleprism zoom.

And this is going to be great news to see.

In the likes of the iPhone 16, we got, say, the ultra wide lens upgraded to 48 megapixel, just like the wide.

So doing this will give all three of the lenses and sensors 48 megapixels.

And this would mean that the teleprism does have the potential to give us even more detail, especially when we're doing, say, a digital zoom, for example.

And even the optical zoom might be pushed out a little bit further.

So, you know, we may even see the likes of, say, 10x optical zoom for the first time on an iPhone.

And this is going to be great news to hear.

But then moving on to the fourth upgrade with the camera on the front of the iPhones.

And this could be that we could be getting an upgrade to a 24 megapixel camera inside the dynamic island.

We've actually had the same 12 megapixel camera ever since the iPhone 14, when we got the original dynamic island.

And it looks like Apple are going to be updating this to have an even better, snappier kind of selfie camera on the front.

And this is great news to hear.

And funny enough, that also leads on to the fifth upgrade, and that is that the actual dynamic island, we've been told, is going to be even smaller.

So if you're not a big fan of dynamic island, I think it gets in the way.

The good news is this is going to be made even smaller now.

So this is really, really good news to hear.

Just like what Apple have done in the past with, say, the notch when we had that, that got made a little bit smaller when we got to the likes of, say, the iPhone 12 series.

So this is great news to hear, too.

But then moving on to the sixth upgrade, we've been told that Apple could be looking to update ceramic shield, the glass on the front of the iPhone, again, to be even more scratch resistant and also more reflective.

You know, that we won't get so many reflections, I mean.

So we could potentially be seeing a nanotexture screen applied.

We're not too sure at this stage.

But one thing's for sure, that this is also going to be updated in the 2025 iPhones.

And then that also leads me on to the seventh upgrade, what is great news to hear at last, the normal iPhone 17 and also the iPhone 17 Air are going to be getting ProMotion displays at last.

So this means 120 hertz displays inside of these instead of the boring standard 60 hertz.

So this is fantastic news to see that we're going to be getting this upgrade for the standard iPhones.

It's about time this upgrade happens.

Moving on then to the 8th upgrade that we've heard about, and that is that Apple are looking to develop their own kind of chips inside of the actual iPhone.

I'm not talking about, say, the A19, what we'll talk about in a second.

I'm talking about their own Wi-Fi 7 chip and also their own 5G chip.

We've heard leaks and rumours bouncing around about this, and it looks like finally Apple are going to be doing this.

And this means that the potential of the iPhone 17 models, they're going to be even more efficient with battery life, so this is great news to hear.

Then moving on to the 9th upgrade, we've also heard that we're going to be getting the A19 and the A19 Pro, and we've also heard there was the potential they could be made on a two nanometer process made by TSMC.

We're not too sure on this right now, but one thing is for sure is that the A19 and the A19 Pro are going to be looking to be about, say, 20 to 30% faster than what we have with the incredible speedy A18 and the A18 Pro.

Then finally, for the 10th upgrade, it's also been told that the likes of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is also going to be getting an upgrade with more RAM inside of it, from the 8 gigabytes up to 12 gigabytes of RAM.

And this is fantastic news for Apple to do this upgrade, because obviously the likes of Apple Intelligence and things like this, the more RAM, the merrier, as it were.

But there we go, guys.

Those are the top 10 things to look forward to with the iPhone 17 models coming out in 2025.
