English for you, get together, we can have a lot of fun, for you chat and talk to me, these are lessons you can't take, get up, let's go, it's time for us to start to live in, honey, hop on board and we can go,
English for you, get together, we can have a lot of fun, English for you.
I just hope those sharks don't decide to join us for lunch or turn us into lunch.
Don't worry, I'm sure they'll stick to their usual food. By the way, I've been reading about the new dolphin show. I heard they can do flips and spins.
Yes, I'm sure they can do amazing tricks. But I'm also excited about the jellyfish. I read that some of them glow in the dark.
That's so cool! Hey, and don't forget the penguins. I think there might be a special feeding time when they waddle around and do cute tricks.
I'm hoping to see if those penguins have any cool dance moves we can pick up. Maybe we'll get a private lesson.
Haha, you're right. We should take a camera along to capture all those dance moves. This field trip is going to be fun.
Hey Laura, are you all packed for our trip together?
Almost. I just have some last minute things to pack.
What about you?
I'm all done. I can't hardly wait for tomorrow's trip to Korea.
Same here. I can't wait to travel to Korea tomorrow.
When we use I can't hardly wait for tomorrow's trip to, it means I can't wait for tomorrow's trip.
Of course, you can also say I can't wait for tomorrow's trip.
But I can't hardly wait makes it sound like I'm dying to go on a trip tomorrow.
I know, I will be seeing so many cute oppas.
Oh my gosh, Hyun Bin, your face.
Hyun Bin, oh my gosh.
Oh my gosh, he's so cute.
Up close 就是近距離的。 天啊,聽起來好可怕喔!
其實Jake呢,他也非常興奮。 他說,可是呢,我只希望那些鯊魚不會決定要和我們一起吃午餐或是幫我們當午餐!
Stick to something 就是繼續做或是使用某事物或是忠於某事物。
For example, I'll stick to this show till the end. The plot is too good to miss.
剛剛也提到了一個實用句,就是 就是我一直在閱讀關於什麼什麼的資料,聽說如何如何。 所以剛剛我們提到的是
It's a sea animal. It's a mammal actually.
That looks like a large fish with a pointed mouth.
Dolphins are actually very intelligent and often very friendly towards humans.
And yeah, there are many different types of dolphins as well.
But here, we can use dolphin in a sentence like this.
Oh my gosh!
That's like my dream.
I know, right?
Dolphin 是什麼呢?
就是海豚。 它是個名詞。
If I could swim like a dolphin, I'd never leave the ocean.
然後呢,剛剛他們說
Super cute!
Oh my god!
I wanna see. I wanna kiss the dolphin.
I know.
Let's take a look at the word flip.
Flip is a noun and it means to turn over into a different position with a sudden quick movement.
Yeah, and this is what a lot of gymnasts do as well.
They do a lot of front flips or back flips, which I don't know how to do.
Same.
Yeah, next we see the word spin.
It's a noun and it means to turn around and around very quickly and to make something do this kind of motion where you're just like going around like that.
So for example, we can say
I know.
Makes me sick as well.
You can flip 當作名詞就是空翻 而spin可以當作名詞或動詞喔 名詞就是旋轉 而動詞就是梗到天旋地轉或是很暈眩喔
OK,就是眩暈 所以回到剛剛課我是說啊 這個Lily她說 我一直在閱讀關於新的海豚表演的資料喔 我聽說呢 他們會做空翻和旋轉
Oh my god.
I know.
They're so good.
旋轉
Alright, so let's continue reading.
Jake says
Yes, I'm sure they can do amazing tricks.
Amazing is an adjective and it means very surprising, especially in a way that you like or admire.
Usually your reaction is
Wow, something like that.
For example, we can say
Wow, I want that.
OK, amazing就是極好的、令人吃驚的 這是一個形容詞喔
For example, that was an amazing episode.
I need to see what happens next.
Or your idea is amazing.
Let's make it happen.
Yeah, let's do it.
OK, Jake continues to say
But I'm also excited about the jellyfish.
I read that some of them glow in the dark.
Jellyfish are actually very cute and they kind of calm me down sometimes.
Now, some jellyfish, they do glow in the dark.
Glow here is a verb, and it means to produce a steady light that is not very bright.
Remember those bracelets that you get sometimes at the concerts?
When the lights are off or when it's very dim, you can see the bracelets produce a kind of light.
And I think those bracelets are called like glow sticks.
So when things glow in the dark, that's what it means.
We can also use glow in a sentence like this.
In the summer, you can see a lot of beautiful fireflies glow at night.
螢火蟲
So romantic.
OK, so Jake mentioned it.
But he is also looking forward to seeing jellyfish.
Because he read that some jellyfish glow in the dark.
Let's learn about the English of jellyfish.
Of course, it's jellyfish.
It's a noun.
And the verb glow that Jake mentioned is glow.
但是它也可以用來表示 像是因為眼睛發出光芒 而容光煥發 或者是細形於色 超正的
I think there might be a special feeding time when they wobble around and do cute tricks.
And this action is actually waddle.
And it means like walking in short steps and moving your body from side to side like a duck or a penguin.
Super cute.
I know.
I love all these animals they mentioned.
Waddle 這個動詞 有著搖搖擺擺的走這樣的意思 所以Lily是提到說 不要忘了還有這個企鵝 就是 penguins 他們可能有個特別的餵食時間 那時候他們會搖搖擺擺的走來走去 還會做一些可愛的動作
Yeah.
Some aquariums have like penguin parades.
Super cute.
Jake then says
Yeah.
So here pick up this phrase means to learn something.
And like for example some people are really good at this.
Some people can pick up dance moves really quickly
I don't have that talent.
Yeah. Same here.
I don't have that talent.
Ok. Jake這時候說 我希望看看那些企鵝 有沒有什麼酷炫的舞步 可以讓我們學 也許我們可以上一堂私人的舞蹈課 真的是有點笑死耶
Ok.
Move 其實當作名詞 有著移動或是位置改變 但是Colin提到的 此組 dance move 在這裡指的是舞步喔 而 pick up something 就是學會某事物
You know what?
I picked up some Korean phrases from dramas like
Oh my god.
Oh my god.
You're so good.
Alright.
Goodness.
Wow. Alright.
So we also saw the word private.
Private is an adjective and it means belonging to for the use of a particular person or group and it's not for public use.
So yeah. For example maybe you might have private tutors that go to your home.
It means that the teacher goes to your house and the teacher is there just for you.
The teacher isn't there to teach other students.
It's not a group class.
Or sometimes celebrities they would of course want their own private time so we can't always expect them to share their lives and whatever they're doing with us all the time.
So give them a break.
For example, we can use private like this.
This resort has two swimming pools and also access to a private beach.
Nice.
Okay.
So private 這個形容詞 就是私人的或者是個人的
For example, 但是 private 當形容詞 還有私下的或是秘密的喔 像是
We should take a camera along to capture all those dance moves.
This field trip is going to be fun.
Is it the 阿帕茲 dance?
Right.
Yeah.
When you take something along it means to bring something.
他們以後真的會跳阿帕茲
We gotta capture this.
Oh my god.
That's too cute.
They will go viral.
Right. Okay.
動詞 capture 就是拍攝 捕捉
Or take something or somebody along 就是帶上或是攜帶什麼什麼
For example, let's take some snacks along.
It's going to be a long day.
Yes.
Okay.
那剛剛還提到一個使用句喔 就是 我們應該帶相機 好捕捉什麼什麼 最後 這趟校外教學 會很有趣喔 所以呢 我們真的也很期待 可以跟他們一起去看
Yeah.
I wanna go.
I wanna be a student again.
And go on field trips, right?
Alright.
So this brings us to our new chat question.
Okay.
What excites you the most about going on a field trip?
Why?
There's so many things.
There's a long way back though.
Okay.
I think what excites me the most about going on a field trip is all the fun stuff we get to do outside of regular school subjects.
I love that, you know, we as in like the classmates can discuss, can eat snacks, explore something new and see things we usually only read about in class.
And I think it also feels more relaxed.
And my classmates and I can chat, joke around and discuss things we are seeing together, right?
You cannot really do that in a class loudly.
Plus, bus rides are always special since we sing and laugh our way to wherever we are going.
I think it just makes the day feel like a mix of learning and having fun with friends.
What do you think?
I totally agree.
I definitely remember all the bus rides like, you know, whenever we go on a field trip.
Right.
And one of the things that really excites me the most is we don't have to be in school.
Right.
You don't have to be out of school.
I know.
You don't have to be in the classroom.
Yeah.
And you get to be outside somewhere on the bus.
外教学.
Yeah, on the bus where you're having fun and then you get like yummy lunches.
Right.
Or snacks.
Instead of school lunches like your parents will pack a lot of snacks for you.
I love it.
And I love going to museums and aquariums.
Same.
The science museums.
They were so fun for me.
真的。 大家喜歡今天的主題嗎?
你還可以到空中家教 和真人老師互動練習喔。
Well, that's it for today.
But there's more tomorrow, right?
Yeah, that's right.
So don't forget to stay tuned.
We'll see you guys next time.
Bye.
Dolphin.
During their sea vacation, the family went on a boat trip to see dolphins in the wild.
Spin.
The dancer did several perfect jumps and spins one after another, leaving everyone speechless.
