Why it should takes a lot of steps to get to the top of this hill in Washington DC.
Say, what's that old piece of paper?
Why, I'm a tariff.
A tariff, what's that?
I am a tariff, I'm the tax that you pay when you want to ship your products to the USA.
But instead of paying me yourself, you just slap the cost on top of the stuff that you sell.
But wouldn't that just make everything you buy more expensive?
Exactly.
Well, then why would anyone want to throw a tariff around willy-nilly?
Maybe because they don't understand what I am.
A vote for Trump is a vote for me to build a big old wall around the economy, I'm going to make it more expensive for you.
And the local companies are going to hate me too.
Oh, because other countries are going to make our companies pay the same tax when we try to sell them stuff.
Wow, you picked in some really quick.
Well, I guess it's not that hard if you take a second to just think about it.
If you don't make your product here, then you will have to pay a tariff, a very substantial tariff when you send your product into the United States.
And by the way, you know, for years they knock the word, the word tariff, properly used is a beautiful word, one of the most beautiful words I've ever heard, it's music to my ears.
Now you know I hurt the middle class, you could call me a tariff, or more like a tax.
On umbrellas, cell phones and shoes.
Everything you buy will get more expensive for you.
Oh gee, thanks, Tariff, I really learned a lot today.
I guess only somebody really crazy or really stupid would put tariffs on everything we imported.
If you think I'm crazy, what do you see my cousin, mass deportation.
