Is everyone ready? Let's begin. Hello again! Today's idiom is: see eye to eye. See eye to eye. Alright, and this idiom is talking about your eyes, seeing eye to eye. So, let's imagine two people go to the paint store and they want to paint their apartment and they're looking at a color chart. Okay, and one person is here and the other person is here and they're looking at the color chart. And there's pink and red and blue and purple and they're looking at the chart and they both choose brown. And they're looking at the brown and they're seeing eye to eye. It's the same color, seeing eye to eye. Alright, so let's try to think about this as we listen to the examples. Should I explain it to you again? Yes, I just wanna make sure we're seeing eye to eye. Okay, let's listen to the other example. Mom, how long are we gonna continue to talk about my grades? Until we see eye to eye on how important your education is! Okay, so in both these situations, they wanted to make sure they were seeing eye to eye, meaning that they agree with each other and have the same understanding. Okay, so if you're talking to someone and you want to make sure that you understand each other and that you have the same agreement, you can ask, 'Do we see eye to eye on this,' or you can say, 'I'm glad we see eye to eye', meaning you're happy that you agree with each other. Alright, and this is a good phrase to use with someone of an equal level or maybe a little lower level, for example, your students, your children, but maybe not to your boss. Yeah, if you say to your boss, 'Do we see eye to eye,' it doesn't sound so great, but to someone the same level or a little bit below, yeah, 'Do we see eye to eye,' that sounds great for asking if you agree with each other. Alright, so let's try to use this again soon and I'll see you next time.
