Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles In the sport of badminton, it's very important to be in the ready position. You have to bend your knees slightly, so you're ready to pounce in any direction in which your opponent hits the shuttle. You also have to make sure to keep your racket at your eye level, certainly at least at the height of the net. The net, by the way, is about five feet one inch in height. You also want to stand close to the center of the court. Perhaps even slightly closer to the net than to the baseline. And that's all you need to know about getting into the ready position.
