the rain. Tonight we're here to catch up with the stars of Whiplash, Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons

Yes, nice, absolutely.

So, incredible film. Being here at the premiere today must be so exciting.

Yeah it is exciting. I mean, it seems like every film festival we went to, it's just

had an overwhelmingly positive response, so.

The Oscar buzz, this is exciting for you, that would be a dream, right?

Hey, there's nothing wrong with Oscar. Oscar's a great guy. I wouldn't mind meeting him at all.

Yeah, I mean it's pretty wild. We filmed this film in 19 days and you don't really know

what's gonna happen to it. I know when we filmed it on set we felt like we had a pretty

special film but for it to all come together is nice.

Was there any technique before your really angry scenes that you got yourself all rared

up? was there anything you did in particular?

Drive to work and deal with LA traffic, and that would get me in the proper mental frame.

You went to a lot of pain doing all that drumming, must've been pretty tough.

Yeah, I mean it's fun. I was never gonna be a hand model or anything, so it's good. I

think a man should have some callouses on his hands.

When you get really angry, how do you vent your anger in real life? Personally, I drink

lots of wine and eat lots of chocolate, but what do you do when you're angry?

I go to work and scream at Miles Teller. It's awesome.

For me, what kind of alleviates a lot of that stress is getting time to properly think about

what's going on and try and pin point what it is that's stressing me out. but you've

got to give yourself time to think, a lot of people just avoid it and drink wine and

eat chocolate, which is fun but you've gotta have some time to think about what's going on.
