Hi there and welcome to day 4
of the Easy English Seven Day Course.
Now before we get going, I just have to ask you,
is this helping you?
Is this seven day course helpful?
Are you understanding what I'm saying?
Are you learning from this?
Because, my goal is to help you
learn English quickly,
easily and while having a great time.
And I would really like to know
if this course is
helpful to you. So
please go down and fill out the survey at the bottom
this email and
at the end the seven day course, I will send you
a big valuable free gift. Okay.
So, today's lesson, lesson
number four is:
learn from English materials you love.
Learn
from English materials you
love, ahhh, you love.
Now, his may see obvious and
overly simple. But,
this technique, like the other techniques,
has proven science behind it.
You see, science has
proven that if you are trying to learn
a language in a stressful
environment, you won't be able to learn.
In fact, you can
un-learn, ah
or lose some of the
English language skills you already have.
You can actually go backwards
if you try to learn
English in a stressful
environment. Stressful like ahhh, I'm stressed.
So, never do that.
Never try to learn english in a stressful environment.
So, what does that mean? Don't learn English
in a stressful environment?
Well, it means don't study grammar. Don't use textbooks
and ideally
don't learn English in grammar based
methods. We've talked about that
before.
Instead, you want you learn English
with materials that you
really love.
So for instance, if you love baseball,
you just love it,
you play baseball with your friends and you like to watch baseball on TV.
Well, find some baseball
where the commentator is speaking
in English and watch that or listen
to that. If you love
baseball, then learn
English with baseball
magazines and TV shows
and the radio. If you
love dancing, well
if you love dancing don't try to learn
English from text books,
try to learn English from
English language books and videos
about dancing.
Don't use textbooks, because text books
are boring. Don't use
vocabulary lists, because vocabulary lists
are boring. You want to learn
English using English materials
that you really love.
If you really love those things, those materials,
you will study them.
You will keep watching them
and overtime even though you may not
know that you're learning, you are.
And, you'll wake up one day and realize
that you know English a lot better than you thought.
So, again today's lesson, lesson
number four: learn English from materials
you really love.
Thanks for being here today, I'll see ya tomorrow.
