Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Today in this Kids Can Cook Clean video, I'l be showing you how to teach a younger child to crack an egg and avoid getting all those little bits of egg shell in the eggs. Mini Chef and I are making Saturday morning pancakes. You can see the bowl of flour in the background here. It's time to add the eggs to the flour, so I gave him a separate bowl to crack his eggs into. Now the trick is, to have them do one egg at a time like he's doing here. He will crack one egg and then check it for shell pieces before he empties the egg into the bowl of flour. And just like that, they learn easily, quickly, and gain a ton of confidence in the kitchen!
