One summer day,
a Taipei police officer
was faced with an interesting situation.
A criminal had offered to pay him
a lot of money
if he would just keep his mouth shut.
This was an opportunity
for the policeman to become rich
and help his family.
However, the policeman thought,
" If I take that money,
I am no different than the thief who stole it. "
"Having lots of money would be nice,
but it's not worth ruining my reputation
and family's name."
"A good name is more desirable than great riches;
to be respected is better than silver or gold."
