Hi, I’m Kerri. I’m Dave, and this is EW’s TV Recaps for
March 24th. I’m sorry guys we usually try and be
Upbeat and fun in these recaps. But we just finished watching The Good Wife
And I’m literally in shock here. I can barely find the words to wrap my head
Around what just happened. You guys, Will Gardner is dead.
That was such a shocking twist. There was this courtroom shoot-out and for
a Moment there we thought, “OK, maybe Will’s
just hurt,” But when Kalinda and Diane walked into the
ER and stared at his shoe, we just knew it was bad news.
I have never been so mad at Hunter Parrish in my life.
And I just still can’t believe it. They killed Will.
They killed WILL. Will Gardner. How is Alicia going to move forward from this.
How is Diane? Kalinda? Sh*t, how are we going to move forward from
this? I feel like I’ve just been punched in the
gut. Also, when we look back at Will’s actions
throughout the episode It makes his death even more emotional.
Like when he told Kalinda that she’s one of the
only co-workers that he likes, and his conversation with Alicia
Which was layered with levels of forgiveness and affection.
This is definitely a game-changer of an episode for The Good Wife.
Will’s such an essential character to the show
And fueled so much of the show’s action. And Josh Charles really played him brilliantly.
Will was so complex you loved him at one second And then loved to hate him at the other.
And if fans are screaming “Why?!” They can blame Josh Charles himself who has
Now revealed that he wanted off the show And that killing his character was his idea.
But how he and The Good Wife writers kept This a secret is really what’s impressive
here. They’re the “dropping a secret Beyonce
album” Of the television world right now.
I for one will be mourning the loss of Will Gardner for years to come.
I’m confused and angry and I don’t know what.
And I know this is The Good Wife I know this is about Alicia and her journey
And this will only make her storylines more compelling.
But shit, this is one of the most shocking TV deaths we’ve seen in years.
And I’m seriously going to talk to my therapist about it tomorrow
Which is ridiculous I know, but omg Will! You want a hug?
Yes Will yessss! Hey guys, we’ll be going through the 7 stages
