  • Oh so you never make them for her? Oh I don't have a clue how to make them. Oh. That's why I'm going to learn how to make these. Okay that's good.

  • This is about getting brownie points then. These cookies

  • technically are supposed to be up there with the very best on the planet.

  • They should be just outrageous. First up guys we want 200 grams

  • of good quality chocolate, seventy percent. Snap it up into nice small bits

  • if they're too big, they won't melt quick enough, chocolate is very delicate so it's on a very low heat

  • very important, 50 grams of butter

  • a pinch of salt chocolate - Oh salt? Yeah really really important because it gets

  • the taste buds working

  • Stir it for me darling. It's melting quickly. So now we're going to make a TV chef out of you.

  • If you can favour this pan to the camera and just look at the chocolate in

  • a really kinda loving way then look at the camera go,

  • Look at it, it's all melted. It's getting there guys, it's all melted.

  • See, he could be the next like celebrity chef

  • We're going to go in with one tin of condensed milk

  • condensed milk is obviously going to sweeten it like crazy. That looks so good.

  • Then we're gonna go in with two heaped tablespoons of almonds

  • That's going to give it a nice bit of texture, we've got two heaped teaspoons of malted drink

  • aka horlicks. Mix that up.

  • and then we are gonna just sift in 200 grams

  • of self raising flour. So look that's what we get

  • Put that in the fridge for about 20 minutes. It looks good. you're gonna love it

  • So look this has been in the fridge for 20 minutes

  • look how it's firmed up. We have a hundred grams of lovely malteasers

  • Let's give it a smash, go for it. Good job Alfie

  • if you can empty your little sack into that bowl. Very nice.

  • I'm chopping up 50 grams of white chocolate

  • and then we just mix it up, once you make this

  • you can freeze them. Yeah? Yeah for months and months and then when you get home

  • and like zero effort you just take them out frozen and then you just cook them from frozen. Oh awesome.

  • and it really works well. Go on, get in there. You have half of that. Yeah.

  • Let's quarter it, make six balls out of each roughly

  • Look at Alfie's balls they're massive

  • Aww I'll take some off

  • Are we squishing them? Squish them, yeah nice, just a little bit. Lovely.

  • So I'm going to freeze these, let me take those. Don't know what we're doing now.

  • Just tell everyone, it goes in an oven at 170 degrees. I don't even know where the oven is.

  • its behind you

  • Jamie has told me, I mean I definitely know this, they go in the oven now

  • both of these at 170 degrees for 12 minutes

  • This is what they look like guys, after 12 minutes in the oven

  • They look good, there's a lot as well, that makes me happy. No it's awesome.

  • You've already made lovely Zoe very happy by making these things

  • You can eat them at this stage but there's more that we can do. I'm not saying that you

  • need help

  • with you romantic capacity. You seem to be doing very well

  • yourself. This bit wasn't in the plan guys. No but - I don't know what he's doing now. But, but -

  • Lay out our paper, here's some more melted chocolate

  • Okay, this is about embellishment, from a height, you need to get a little strand

  • I need you just to kind of go mental. Decorate, this like that. See I wouldn't have done the paper.

  • I would have just done that all on the surface. Well I've just saved - I've saved your relationship already. Exactly.

  • I have an extra foot of greaseproof paper here

  • and this is when we do a heart

  • that means everything
