  • and not caring what anybody tells you.

  • Respecting your body and loving it

  • and not really listening to all the people saying,

  • (Finebros) What does she mean by "all about that bass"?

  • Does she like to play baseball?

  • I think maybe it's about drums.

  • "Bass" probably means bigger, and "treble" is probably smaller.

  • Oh, please don't make me say that.

  • Their butt? (snickers)

  • That's what I thought.

  • (Finebros) So we have some lyrics of the song.

  • (Finebros) So read this out loud.

  • "Yeah, it's pretty clear."

  • "I ain't no size two."

  • "But I can shake it, shake it like I'm supposed to do."

  • (facetiously) I think this is an inappropriate song.

  • She's proud of not being a size two?

  • Maybe, like, shaking her butt.

  • She thinks she has a big one?

  • It's too big to do nothing?

  • I don't think she was making like,

  • "Oh yeah, that's all girls are good for, shaking their butts."

  • She's saying, "Yeah, I'm not super skinny, but who cares?"

  • (Finebros) So here's a different part of the song.

  • (mutters)

  • "I know you think you're fat."

  • "But I'm here to tell ya..."

  • "Every inch of you is perfect..."

  • "...from the bottom to the top."

  • The vaguer message is "from the bottom to the top."

  • I think that one's a little bit better than the other one.

  • It doesn't matter if you think I'm fat or I look awful.

  • I get to dance. It's my life.

  • See? This is positive-- positive stuff. We need more of this.

  • (Finebros) Do you think that people prefer or expect people

  • - to look certain ways? - I think some people think that.

  • Yes.

  • People who are sometimes overweight, they get made fun of.

  • The expectation is just to be skinny and to be beautiful.

  • But you don't really have to be that.

  • Everyone's beautiful in their own way.

  • More people like her should be saying,

  • "Just love yourself for who you are."

  • But people don't really think like that.

  • Most people think, like, that everybody who's blond is beautiful.

  • But I'm blond and look at this, so that's obviously not true.

  • - (Finebros) You're handsome. - That's just a lie.

  • - (Finebros laugh) - But okay.

  • - (Rafi laughs) Dash. - (Benny) Dash, you look fine.

  • (Finebros) Why is skinny considered better in our society?

  • Hmm. I never thought about that.

  • If that's what boys think...

  • (retches)

  • Fat is overweight,

  • and people think there's always something wrong with that.

  • Most of the idols of young girls,

  • they're all skinny and have long hair.

  • All the magazines and all the stuff that are influencing us--

  • everybody's so skinny and Photoshopped, and that's not reality.

  • (Finebros) So this song we played for you

  • was the radio version of the song.

  • But there's another version of this song, like on Radio Disney,

  • - that changes some of the lyrics even. - That's just rude.

  • Well, for sure, "Let It Go" is appropriate.

  • (Finebros) Did you know that some of the songs you listen to,

  • - they change the lyrics for kids? - No, I never knew that.

  • I didn't know that at all, and I don't like it.

  • Yeah.

  • Oh my god, yes, because I've heard the Disney version.

  • And then one day we were listening to the radio.

  • I'm like, "Oh, Dad. Dad, leave it. I like this song."

  • And then I hear the words, and then I'm like...

  • "Uh, I hope he didn't hear that."

  • (Finebros) What do you think about the fact they do that?

  • (dramatically) I protest that you guys

  • let us hear the real songs!

  • It's good to listen to that version only.

  • But obviously, if you look it up on YouTube or something,

  • it's not gonna be that version.

  • Honestly, if you're gonna change the song,

  • just don't play it at all.

  • If it's not a clean song, then don't even play it.

  • They might not know that it's a bad song. So then they see it.

  • "Oh wow, this is actually a really bad song.

  • I shouldn't listen to this again." There's that kid.

  • But then there's another kid--

  • "Oh my god, that's actually a really cool song.

  • I want to do the things that they're saying in the song."

  • That's not good.

  • (Finebros) Back to the song, this is her first big hit.

  • Do you think she will be a popular singer for a long time,

  • - or is she a one-hit wonder? - I don't know.

  • I'm gonna go "one-hit wonder."

  • For now, she's just a one-hit wonder.

  • I think she's gonna be popular for a while.

  • I think she's going to have a long career.

  • She's telling the world and she's trying to change it

  • to make not people laugh about everything.

  • (Finebros) So finally, what would you want to say to Meghan,

  • though, about her song and her message if she was watching?

  • Stop shaking your booty.

  • The message is good.

  • But some of the lyrics and the song just go too far.

  • You're perfect. I love you.

  • (holding back laugh) Hi, Meghan.

  • I really like your song, and I think it has a great message.

  • This is an amazing song,

  • and you're sending the right message to all of society.
