Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. 今天我想跟各位分享我人生的三個故事，沒什麼特別的大道理，

No big deal. Just three stories. 就只是三個故事。

My second story is about love and loss. 我的第二個故事是關於愛與失去。 I was lucky— 我很幸運—

I found what l loved to do early in life. 我在年輕時便發現自己喜歡做的事。

Woz and I started Apple in my parents’ garage when I was twenty. 二十歲時，沃茲和我在我父母親的車庫裡創辦了蘋果電腦。

We worked hard, and in ten years Apple had grown from just the two of us in a garage 我們努力工作，在十年內蘋果電腦已經從只有我們兩個人的車庫，

into a two billion company with over four thousand employees. 變成一間營收二十億美元、員工超過四千人的公司。

We had just released our finest creation — the Macintosh — 我們才剛推出我們最棒的發明——麥金塔電腦 —

a year earlier, and I had just turned thirty. And then I got fired. 一年之前，我才剛過三十歲而已。然後我被解雇了。

How can you get fired from a company you started? 你怎麼會被自己創辦的公司解僱？

Well, as Apple grew, 嗯……隨著蘋果電腦的成長，

we hired someone who I thought was very talented to run the company with me, 我們聘請了一位我覺得非常能幹的人跟我一起經營公司，

and for the first year or so, things went well. 約莫第一年，事情進展得很順遂。

was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, 重新被創業的輕鬆所取代，

Pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, Pixar後來創造出世界第一部電腦動畫電影

In a remarkable turn of events, 在這個值得注意的事件轉折裡，

Apple bought NeXT and I returned to Apple 蘋果電腦買下了 NeXT，而我回到了蘋果電腦，

I'm pretty sure 我非常確定

It was awful tasting medicine, 良藥苦口，

but I guess the patient needed it. 但我想病人需要它。

Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. 有時候，人生的際遇猶如被磚塊砸到頭。不要失去信念。

I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going 我深信唯一使我繼續向前的理由

was that I loved what I did. 便是我喜愛我所做的事。

You've got to find what you love, 你必須找到你所喜愛的，

and that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. 不管對工作、對愛情也一樣如此。 Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, 你的工作將會填滿你人生的一大部份，

and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work, 而唯一能真正感到滿足的方法是做你相信卓越偉大的工作，

and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. 而唯一做卓越為大工作的方法是喜愛你所做的事。

If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. 如果你還未找到，繼續尋找。

And don't settle. 並且不要停頓。As with all matters of the heart, 如同所有與心相關的事情，

you'll know when you find it. And like any great relationship, 當你找到時你會知道，就像任何良好的關係，

it just gets better and better as the years roll on. 一年年過後它只會愈來愈好。So keep looking until you find it. 所以繼續尋找直到找到為止。

Don't settle. 不要停頓。
