Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Some of the common mistakes people experience, while learning how to do a front side smith grind front side one eighty out, to fakie, is that the ledge tends to hold you in there and sometimes it's really hard to get away from it. The reason is the same, as with a front side smith grind. You're king pin is made of such strong material, that when it actually starts to grind, into the corner of the ledge, it doesn't grind as well and it eats up at the ledge and it tends to hold you in there. The only way to combat that, is to make sure that you have as much weight, on the tail, as you can and also, having your foot focused, on the very last bit of the tail, is going to help. Be able to put all the weight, right here, to get you up and out of there. The other thing, that you're going to want to do, is make sure that you go fast enough so that your weight is headed forward and you get in and out. If you're going too slow, the grind will just stop and your weight will go forward and you won't continue in the grind position. Remember, go fast, keep your foot on the tip of the tail and also remember the leading arm, going to your left or away from the ledge, because that arm is going to control the one eight out and get your clean and get you rolling away fakie. Those are just a few of the common mistakes of a front side smith grind one eighty out.
