If you’re looking for a gay friendly area to stay in Bangkok or even just for that One
Night Only type of experience, this is where all the fun begins, at the Silom Intersection.
Here at the happy crossroads, we stand in the middle of a hub for gay travellers. It
is here that we will start our tour to see all that this delightful area has to offer.
It’s all walking distance so there’s no need to worry about taxis, sky trains or even
the need of a map.Head out onto Silom Soi 2 and 2/1 and watch the action unfold here.
There is the Diamond Bar where you can indulge in the delicious Italian-Thai menu and get
the night going with the extensive wine list. Then turn it up a notch and head on over to
Soi 2 Bar, home of the famous DJ Station. If a party isn’t a party until it goes into
the wee hours of the morning, then check out G.O.D, which let’s you party until 6am.
Shirts will be coming off before you know it! Some different options are just one street
down, in the famous Soi 4. An oldie but a goodie is the Telephone Pub, a gay pub and
karaoke. It has earned its reputation as the centre of the gay social life, a place of
conversation and a great time! Then moving deeper into the Soi, you will
come across the mysterious and alluring Stanger Bar: a 3-storey single unit with an outdoor
seating area. The perfect night to visit would be next week when they will be celebrating
their 1st year anniversary with a cocktail reception. But on any given night, expect
a free “Sperm” shot, sip on a cocktail and marvel at the dark and moody décor.
