Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles ("Sorry I'm Not Sorry" by Tessa Violet) - Hi guys, welcome to my craft room! This has been a long requested video ever since I moved into my new apartment about five months ago. I finally have everything in place and organized pretty much the way I want. So, I thought it was about time that I showed you guys around. When Michelle and I were looking for a new apartment down in LA, one of the things I really wanted was an extra bedroom just for my craft supplies, and that's what I have. This entire room is just for craft supplies and making things and shooting videos and it's kind of awesome. Also, it's usually not this clean. I just cleaned everything up so that it wouldn't look gross on camera, but usually there's like stuff everywhere. So, let's get started. So, this desk was actually Michelle's, but this room was kinda the best place to put it so I use it as my crafting desk. I have my massive cutting board from Fiskars which they sent me a while ago and it's just so good. I love it so much, just having so much space to work on. I also keep my camera lenses here, I have my macro lens and my wide angle lens. And then I also have this box which I just keep the kind of basic craft supplies that I keep reaching for in pretty much every project. So, I have some packing tape and some artist's tape. I have some white and black thread. In here are some straight pins for sewing. And sewing needles, E6000, a measuring tape, some erasers, some extra Exacto knife blades, and a pencil sharpener. A metal ruler, a gritted ruler, scissors, more E6000, which the top is actually kinda stuck on here, so, I might not be able to finish using this one unless I can figure out a way to get that off. And then I have a few Sharpies, a black pen, a few pencils, my bone folder, and then my utility knife, and my Exacto knife. Over here are some large pink crates which I actually just got these crates from Target like a week ago because I had some that were just on the floor, but now these stack and also they're colorful. And they were only a few dollars each. So, this one has bubble wrap and tulle and just like random kind of packing stuff. In here I have past DIYs that I have done that aren't on display anywhere. So, there's all kinds of stuff in here like, you probably recognize a lot of this stuff if you can even see it. And then in here I have some random costume pieces, so like wigs and crowns and stuff for a photo booth. Just to have those kind of all in one place. In this one, I have materials that I'm planning to use in future DIYs. So, I have a wreath form, some old oatmeal containers, some LED lights, just kind of random stuff that I plan to use pretty soon. In this one are Ziploc bags full of just random supplies like binder clips and magnets and forks and Popsicle sticks and Easter eggs. Just like little things that I have a lot of each one. So, I throw them in a Ziploc bag and put them all in here. And then in this one is just fabric. So, it's lace and stuffing and just random old T-shirt fabric and fabric I've started cutting up. And yes, I don't wanna take all that out because I folded all nicely so it actually fit. So, this wall is kind of a new thing. It's like this giant collage that I just started putting together. And some of it is DIY stuff, some is just random like design stuff I have collected over the years, some of it is photo booth pictures and maybe someday, I'll do a video going through what everything is. Let me know if you guys wanna see that. Over here in the corner we have my color printer and then underneath we have my laser printer which also has a scanner attached. And if you want to know what kind of printers those are, I'll have a link down below with a list of all of my equipment. And then next to it are extra cutting mats and just kind of large scrap paper and large printer paper and bags and just kind of tall, flat things that can all just kind of slide in here. So, now we're moving on to kind of the bulk of my supplies are in these cabinets which are from the Martha Stewart collection at Home Depot. I'll go through what's on top. So, here I have some scrap paper and then underneath is printer paper, both cardstock and nice paper, and then just normal computer paper. In here, I've got some colored pencils, some rubber bands, my collection of bottle caps which I might use for a DIY at some point, wooden dowels, pipe cleaners, I forgot what are called for a second. We have paintbrushes, all kinds of different sizes of paintbrushes. These are little LED candles which I might use for a project at some point. In here is my bucket of Washi tape which is kind of overflowing so I might need to put that into a bigger container soon. Here I have some random fabric scraps that I cut off of a shirt that I kinda DIY'ed. Then, we've got a bunch of mini Sharpies and my fine-tipped Sharpies and my normal tip Sharpies, what are these called, just regular Sharpies. In here, we have a bunch of pencils and charcoal pencils and blending sticks. There's kinda drawing supplies. And then, in here, we have thumb tacks. Moving on to this side of the top of the shelves. So, in here, we have different color thread and also another fabric measuring tape. Here, we have my Prismacolor markers. In here are various gel pens and black pens of different sizes and weights, just kind of random pens. These are some extra bracelets from a DIY that I did over on Handmade which you will see very soon. Here, we have some random little bits and bobs and things that are left over from other projects that don't really have a home so they just kinda all live in here. Same thing with this, these are some projects I just did on Handmade. I'm not exactly sure where I'm gonna put them yet. So, for now, they just live in this little heart container. Then, we have thing of Q-tips and a thing of crayons and other... These came with a canvas, I'm not exactly sure what they do, but maybe someday I'll figure that out. Then, we have this plastic container which has little jars of little, tiny supplies that I wanna keep together. So, we've got some spikes and some brads and some buttons and jump rings and just little things like that. In here, we have some tiny, little laser cut pieces that I made as an experiment. Not sure exactly what I'm gonna do with these, but at some point I'll figure it out. Here, we have a little flower pot full of extra chalk. And then my collection of those pizza stand things. Does anyone else collect these? I need to figure out a DIY for these at some point. Here we have some extra heart containers so that when I have other little, tiny bits and bobs I can just stick them in here. And then, here, we have my pin cushion mason jar thing that I made over on handmade and I keep a bunch of pins in here. And then, this is some colored markers which I've had since college. We wrote "Bucket o' Fun" on there. These were actually a gift from John Meta, and I've kept them and they're really pretty. So, coming up here to the top shelf, we have two things of different colors of embroidery thread. Then, we have this fun green container which I put sequin string, what is it called, just sequins in. Another thing with little bits, all these are just kind of little bits and things that don't really have a home anywhere else. Then, we've got some paper clips and Easter eggs which I guess go together, not really, maybe. And then, we have a large gold heart full of hangy things that you put on the wall. And then these were blown out in the other shot, but in the back, I just have more containers which I'll grab whenever I need them. I like to give myself room to expand. Some of them have things in them like that one has straws, that one has more straws, there's some ribbon and some tape and then crepe paper. And then, the window has these really ugly vertical blinds so to try to mask that a little bit, I put this thing of tulle that I had so it just goes up and then I have my map globe thing which I made over on Handmade as well as my map bunting which I made a few months ago, if you remember that video, you've been watching like a year ago, you've been watching for a long time. And then, just some colorful paper lanterns on either side to balance it out. So, coming down to the first group of nine cabinets. Up here, we have a basket full of kind of small tools and supplies. So, like hole punch and my awl and screwdrivers and just kind of random stuff like that. Oh, that's where that went. I was looking for my paint stirrer and I couldn't find it, and there it is. It was in there exactly where it should have been. Underneath that, I have this drawer which doesn't actually have much in it, just a few little like decoration things. So, yeah, at some point I'll fill that up with more stuff once I buy more supplies. I should not buy more supplies. Underneath that, we have a basket full of all of my glasses. This is my costume glasses collection which I cannot actually wear any of these in public because I need normal glasses and I don't have contacts, but I just really like decorating glasses. Down here is just some random scrapbook paper and then this folder has all of my sandpaper of several different grits. And then, I have more paper lanterns, a few extra canvases, and just kind of random paper that didn't fit in the other thing of paper which I will get to soon. Up here, in this guy, we have all my spray paint of various colors and I definitely have room to expand in here and I really want to because I've been so into spray paint lately now that I have a place outside where I can spray paint things. Down here, I have another one of these drawers, and on top is my map collection and then also my giant things of paint chips that I found on the side of the road in San Fransisco like a year ago. And then, inside is some tissue paper and then some felt. And then, down here in this basket are just random little toys, not really craft supplies but just things I could maybe use to like decorate a still life or just like random little things that I collect. Coming over here, this is kind of my favorite one. This is my adhesive shelf. So, it's like my hot glue gun, all of my Scotch tape, rubber cement, all my glues like Mod Podge, and extra glue sticks which I put in this peanut butter container that I cleaned out so that I can see how many I have. Underneath that is, this one's really heavy, is a basket full of beads that are all in different Ziploc bags according to what color they are. So, like these are all my pink beads. These are all my yellow beads and et cetera. And then, down here are like office supplies or stuff I don't really reach for quite as often. So, that's like a stapler and rulers and brads and hole punch and like charcoal and drawing supplies that I'm not using as often. Coming over here to the second group of nine shelves. Oh, right now, on the outside of this one, I have my new ampersand necklaces which will be for sale very soon. And then, in here I have all of my acrylic paint, and that should not be in there. That should be in here. Sorry. Organizing while I film. This is all my acrylic paint and a thing of glitter and lots of just paint is in here. Underneath that, I have things on spools. So, like string and wire and chain and then also stamps and ink pads. And then, underneath that, this is also like my favorite thing, is my basket of tape. This is all my duct tape and packing tape and artist tape and just colored large rolls of tape. Up here is where I keep most of my scrapbook paper. So, it's like large, square pieces of paper and then just other random origami paper and other cardstock and pads of paper and lots of different papers in here. In this basket, this one's also really heavy, is where I keep my large tools. So, like my mallet and my mini iron and my wire cutters and my large hole punches and my saw and all of my scissors that Fiskars sent me a while ago. If you haven't seen that video, I did a hall of everything they sent me. It was amazing. I'll link to it down below. I will get to this one in just a minute. I think it deserves a close up. But over here, we have all of my ribbon. So, this is a lot of spools of ribbon and then little bits in Ziploc bags and come Christmas time when I'm wrapping presents, I will be digging into this very much. Down here is where I keep my drill as well as the accessories that go with it like the battery and screws and things. And then, down in this basket are where I keep my jewelry making supplies for the jewelry that I sell on DFTBA. So, like extra jump rings and extra chains and the bead catalog and extra stickers and stuff like that. So, now I wanna come back to this section which is where I keep my little plastic containers of little bits and things. These are like a work of art. I am so happy with how organized they are. So, this one has lots of sequins and jewels and little, tiny containers of tiny, tiny things. This one has more rhinestones and my gold letters and chains and hinges and buttons and beads and thumb tacks. This one has some zippers and thumb tacks and rhinestones and foam stickers. This one's got more of these little jars and zippers and buttons and buttons and beads and letter beads and just really fun things. And then this one's my favorite. It has colorful beads and spikes and chains and beads and eyes and buttons and it just makes me so happy to look at. And I love using all the supplies that are in this one. So, moving over here, we have a desk which I don't really use as a desk, more like a shelf. And it has these paper trimmers and this scoring board from Martha Stewart and my light box. And then, underneath are more jewelry making supplies from the last batch that I just made. And then, this massive box which are all of the orders that I'll be sending over to DFTBA. These are all full of necklaces. So, these are what you buy when you buy a necklace from me over on DFTBA. Coming over here to the closet. I don't wanna show you the entire thing because the parts that you can't see are really messy, but I have my huge collection of old oatmeal containers which I want to make into something at some point. Then, I have office supplies like extra toner for my printer and then boxes, those are all full of old cords and little camera supplies. I have my projector and some extra equipment for lights and microphones, tripods, down there is an extra computer screen and some green material, in case I ever want a green screen, anything... Next to the closet is this light which actually belonged to Michelle, but I use it sometimes for my videos. And then I have this garbage can which I made this sign that nobody's allowed to put food in there because it takes me a while to fill it up so I don't want it getting all smelly. Here you can see another view of my desk and what I look at when I'm crafting. And then, down on the floor, I have this massive power strip which I use to plug in my hot glue gun and anything else that needs power while I'm working. And then, I'm just gonna quickly scroll down this shelf which isn't craft supplies. It's like other DIYs I've made in the past. And then, oh, right here are craft supplies. I put up my magnetic strip to put up like my screwdriver and scissors and pliers and it's not very big so I couldn't put very much stuff on there, but I put a few things on there. And then on the shelf behind it are just like random decorations that I own that aren't on display in the living room yet. And then, on top of the shelf are these curtain rods that we haven't actually hung curtains from yet so I just put them up there so that I could hang my hot air balloons which you might remember from that DIY I posted fairly recently. And then, next to that, is the light switch which I covered in glittery duct tape. This was such a fast project. I didn't think it was worthy of a DIY, but Julia just made a video about covering light plates over on Handmade. So, if you wanna watch that, I'll link to her video. So, that's it. That's the entire craft room. I hope you guys liked seeing all of my supplies and seeing how I organize everything. This is gross, I'm all like sweaty now because it's so hot in here because I closed the windows so that there wouldn't be noise, and now, it's so hot, you guys just don't even wanna know. Also, I think I'm getting a sore throat and talking for the last 20 minutes like that probably wasn't the greatest idea in the entire world. So, I'm sorry if my voice is a little weird. But yeah, you guys have been asking for this video forever and I finally finished organizing the room. So, I thought that I would show you guys. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions about what any of the supplies are or tell me what is your favorite craft supply that you saw here. And I think that's it from me. I really need to finish this video. It is way too hot in here. So, I'm gonna put two videos that you can watch that I did recently right here and right here. I hope you like them. And make sure to subscribe if you liked this video, if you wanna see more DIYs. And that is it for me. I'm gonna go. Thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you all next time. Bye, guys!
