you've been playing Pokemon Go

a..a lot lately

like a lot a lot like I'm actually outside again

which is two days in a row

so..that's pretty good,

I'm almost getting fit

I decided to make a video

because we're doing Pokemon series

if you guys have seen episode one that's good

little pup-up right there

you click on it

but don't go there yet because

I wanted to show you my top 10 features that

you need to know about

before you start playing Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go can be extreme

and if you're going to survive

then you're gonna need to know my top ten tips

to get started

because they won't really explain to you at all

so Let's jump into the number one

you're gonna wanna make sure that

a take look at the button right hand corner

this is gonna tell you

some of the nearby pokemon in your area

and it'll change depending on where you are

as you walk around

Now the cool thing about this

is that once you open it up here

you can see the different pokemon

then you can choose which one you're gonna track

In this case, we don't have the very good ones

but we'll just try, for example, the Pidgey

the fun, little bird creature

so once you click on it

you're gonna have the options here to

to look at it down

at the bottom of the right hand corner

and you have some of the feet

and the closer you are to it

the less feat there are

so to being.....you are getting closer

once being really close and no feet

you're on top of it

you can go that and catch it

So I'm gonna walk around and

get a little closer to the bad boy

there is a gym right there

it's magically

you can't actually see it right now

but we'll get back to it on a second

So I have gone close enough

have you seen on the map here?

It is over here

and on the ground

so we can click on it

and of course you don't actually have to be on top of it

as long as you're close enough to it

you can just click on it

and it'll appear

somewhere in front of you

and the arrows will point where it is

so there is in front of us

and I'm gonna give you our next tip

which is how to actually catch a pokemon

so, what you're gonna to do

is you're gonna hold a pokeball

as we can see here

as I'm holding pokeball down

you have a green circle

that arounds the pokemon

and the smaller it is

the better time is actually throw the ball

and you're gonna want to get the ball on top of it

as it just showed there

come on, baby be mine be mine

oh, oh you got the Pidgey

which is actually isn't that great

but if its score is higher,

I'll be much more happy

but that's ok

it's the first pokemon

and I just want to show you guys

how to actually do it

and if it did get out of the pokeball

that's ok

you're just going to throw another one

and try to make sure the green circle

which could be red or yellow

depending on how rare and hard

the pokemon is to catch

is small as possible before you actually

throw the pokeball

once you done

where you get some XP

and some pokey candy

and some other stuff

which I'll talk about in just a second

so now we've actually captured the pokemon

we're gonna get into some other cool stuff

which is the menu here

and this is going to be where you

keep all the pokemon you just captured

once you get into your menu

you can look all the different ones that you have

as well as the CP which is basically just their strength

and will give you the idea

as to how powerful they are

because we just captured the Pidgey

I 've already have one

so a lot of people don't know this but

once you've done that

you can essentially sell it

well you're not selling it like black market

but the professor Oak will take it

and he'll give you candy for it

so I'm gonna click on the Pidgey here

we'll gonna scroll down to the bottom

it's kind of hidden down here

we're gonna go transfer

so once you click that

It's gonna go to the professor

and he's going to give you

a nice little bit of candy

we get one little Pidgey candy

and that candy is used for evolving

as well as powering up your Pidgey

So you might be asking yourself

Hey Jake, what's is powering up

or revolving a Pidgey do or any pokemon

it's a good question

so evolving is the classic thing

that we all know and love

if you've been playing pokemon

since the kid

it's what your big pokemon

becomes an even bigger pokemon

through evolving it with candy

this takes a while

because the only way to get the candy

really is to go ahead and find duplicates

and then trade them into the store

uh...powering up is a little bit different

it's not actually evolving the pokemon

it just making it stronger

so for example

if I have a Drowzee here

who's you know he's pretty good

he's got a CP of 137

and I'm going to a gym battle

I want to give them a little bit extra

you can power them up

that will increase his CP

however be careful

because trust me once you

power them up

five minutes later you're gonna find

one even stronger and

you're gonna be sad you wasted

all that candy

now if you do decide to

evolve your pokemon

perhaps you've found enough candy

then you can go your pokedex here

and take a look at

all the different ones you've caught

out of the currents 129

if my math was right

and if you click on the pokemon for example

here like my magic Magikarp

you'll notice that it has a little evolution tab

which will show you

what it evolved into now

here it's actually blacked out

but if you go on google or watch

the show you're pretty sure

you're gonna know

what it evloves into

but i'll just give you an idea

as to what it will become

it will become more powerful

and a lot cooler

trust me this thing looks lame

but once you evolve

it is gonna be big and fierce

alright, so as we walk over to my next point

I'm gonna show you guys

the items that you have in our inventory

which is basically your backpack

you'll have a few different things in here

you have a Potion

you have a Revive

and you have your pokeballs

alright if you want to replenish

all the items in your backpack

you can get new things such as pokeballs

you can get potions as well as eggs

which I'll talk about in a second

by heading to a pokestop

which is this place

which doesn't exactly look like much here

but on your phone it is a blue circle

which you can find it has a cool little picture

I think that's awesome

you see it's a Preschool mural,Preschool mural

which is pretty cool

so what's going on here

all you gotta do is

the turn it around like this

fling it and there you go

you'll get a bunch of new items in this case

I got some pokeballs

but you can get eggs as well as potions

now my head back into my items

as you can see here

we have a few that I've been showing you before

the potions and the revives

are only used when you're doing gym battles

because as of right now

here isn't any multiplayer

other than that

now if you go over to the inventory again

you go back to pokemon

you'll notice that there's an egg's tab

so if I click on over here

this is where your pokemon eggs are

and these are really cool

because the only way to actually get your eggs hatched

is to walk this certain amount of distance

listed on the eggs

so in this case I have one in the incubator

you can only have one in a time

unless you get additional incubators

in this case I actually do

so I'm going to start the information on this

with this one which I got out of levelling up

you can also get items from leveling up

I'm going to click in here and

it's going to start the incubation

there you go

so I have to walk five kilometers

before this one will hatch

this one is actually really close to this

might open by the end of the video

as at 4.8 out of 5 kilometers

and once that's done

you can make it out here

and you're ready to continue your journey

which will bring us to the next part of this

where are you going

ever ever since Jade started playing Pokemon Go

he walks all day

I'm like, record a video

he's like "oh I have to go to square root of all

gotta catch them all

alright so now you've got your pokeballs

you've got some pokemon

because you've learned how to actually

catch them and where to find them

you're ready to do a gym battle

now gym battles are great

because you can take over gyms

in your local area

and claim them for your team

there's gonna be three different teams

that you can join this basically

blue,yellow and red

and you're gonna to decide at level 5

I suggest picking a team that there aren't too many in your areas
