Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles What's up guys? Andy with MyTechMethods. I got a little bit of a mustache today, and I'm rocking the pink sweater because I’m talking about T-Mobile, one of my new favorite companies. And this is how to get the cheapest iPhone plan possible. 30 bucks a month. Unlimited data. Unlimited text. Unlimited calling. Really it’s 100 voice calling minutes, but I’m going to show you some tricks that you can make that unlimited calling so basically you're getting unlimited everything for 30 bucks a month. No contract. You’re not tied down to any contract. You can upgrade your phone any time. You can leave anytime. It’s awesome. It’s the plan I use. I just switched over about a month ago. I'm loving it. All the links that I talk about in this video will be in an organized blog post. The link to that will be right in the description below so if you are really interested in getting this plan you can click that link and see all the details and all the links that I talk about in this video. So let’s quickly get into the steps to get this plan. So the first thing you need is an iPhone. It can be an iPhone specifically made for T-Mobile or you can unlock a GSM iPhone so if you're with AT&T you can get your phone iPhone unlocked. There are a couple ways to do it and the links will be in the blog post so you can unlock your current iPhone if you have one, if it’s GSM. Or you can buy a used unlocked GSM iPhone or an iPhone for T-Mobile on eBay. And that’s a great way to do it so if you want to buy a used iPhone you can do that on eBay. And you can get some great deals. So once you have your iPhone, it’s unlocked or it's made for T-Mobile, it’s brand new made for T-Mobile, the next thing you need to get is the SIM card activation kit for T-Mobile and you can get this from T-Mobile's website. It’s 10 bucks but usually they have some deals going on where you can get it for like a penny or like 99 cents. And you want to get the Nano SIM SIM card activation kit okay. That’s what you want. The nano size because the Nano will fit the iPhone 5 or later. So again the easiest way is to get that from T-Mobile's website. It will come to you in a couple days in the mail and once you have those two things, you got your iPhone and you got your T-Mobile SIM card activation kit next thing you need to do is activate the iPhone online through T-Mobile's prepaid website. The process is very simple. It’ll work with new numbers if you’re activating a new number or if you're transferring one of your own numbers like I was. I was an AT&T customer and I transferred my AT&T number to this new T-Mobile plan. This new T-Mobile iPhone. The number transfer process was painless for me. I transferred it that night and then the next day it was transferred to T-Mobile and my plan was activated and ready to go. So the only thing to remember is when you're doing the T-Mobile online activation just make sure you choose the $30 a month plan for unlimited web, unlimited text, and 100 voice calling minutes. That’s the plan that we’re talking about today. That’s the plan I got. And that’s the cheapest one you can get for your iPhone. So once the activation process is complete on T-Mobile's website you now have your brand new 30 dollar a month plan for your iPhone and about that hundred voice calling minutes. Here are some tricks that you can do to get around that so you don't go over that and basically get unlimited everything. So the first thing you need to do is sign up for a free Google voice number. That’s free for any Google account if you have one already just go to Google.com/voice and you can sign up for a free number. That number is basically just forwarded to your current iPhone number and then the way to use that is you can download a free hangouts app from Google. You can use that hangouts app to make calls to people using your Wi-Fi connection or your cellular data connection. So as long as you're connected to the Internet in some way you can make calls over the Wi-Fi or data connection with that Google hangouts app. The only thing to remember is when you call people your Google voice number that you just signed up for will show up on the caller ID. If it's people you know just no big deal just tell them hey this is my other number, add it to my contacts. If it’s people you don’t know it doesn't matter. You’re calling them and if they happen to call you back on that Google voice number it gets forwarded to your phone anyways. That’s one way to avoid using your 100 voice minutes when you're calling people. Another way is to use FaceTime Audio if you're calling other iPhone users. So if you know that another person has an iPhone just use FaceTime Audio. FaceTime Audio will do the exact same thing. It uses your data connection either Wi-Fi or your 4G LTE connection to make audio calls to other iPhone users using FaceTime audio. So it doesn't cut into your voice minutes it uses your data connection. So those are a couple tricks that you can use and just remember you also still have that 100 voice minutes that you can use for calling every now and then. You know if you know you don't talk that much on the phone if it if you average three minutes per day or less then you don’t even have to worry about it because that 100 voice minutes will cover that. So that's the cheapest iPhone plan and the best iPhone plan for individuals. It cut my bill in half and also gave me twice as much data to use so if you use the tips that we talked about in this video you have no problem and you never have to worry about going over and it's flat 30 bucks a month. You can upgrade your phone any time. I love it. I hope this video helped you out. Again the link to my blog post will be in the description below where you can see all the details and all the links about this plan if you're interested in getting it. As always thank you so much for watching. If you have any questions just leave a comment down below and I'll try my best to get back to you. Keep having fun out there and I'll talk to you guys later bye.
