the vocabulary that you’ll need to know at Starbucks!

你會要知道的英文單字喔！

As most of you who has been following this series would know

那有在追這個日常英文單字系列的小滴們應該都知道

這個系列主要是用英文來去呈現

Most people get a good cup of coffee in the morning

大部分的人可能早上都需要一杯好咖啡

to get them ready for a brand new day

讓自己能夠迎接新的一天

When you think of good coffee

當你想到好咖啡時

Starbucks is a brand that’s probably gonna cross your mind

腦海中很有可能會浮現星巴克這個品牌

So, today, I’ll be sharing with you guys

所以今天，我要跟大家分享一下

some of the most basic terms that you’ll need to know

哪些最基本用法詞彙是你必須要知道的

if you wanna order a cup of coffee at Starbucks!

讓你能夠讓你在星巴克點一杯咖啡！

First things first, classic cup sizes: 中杯，大杯，特大杯

首先，經典杯子大小: 中杯，大杯，特大杯

中杯 is Tall; 大杯 is Grande; 特大杯 is Venti

中杯 is Tall; 大杯 is Grande; 特大杯 is Venti

If you’d like an even smaller cup of coffee than a tall

如果你想要點一個比中杯更小的咖啡

you can ask for a “short”, which is 小杯

你可以點 “short”，也就是小杯

this is only available for hot drinks

只有熱飲會提供小杯

If you’d like an even bigger cup of beverage than a venti

如果你想要點一個比特大杯更大的飲料

you can ask for a “trenta”

你可以點 "trenta”，也就是超級無敵大杯 (自己亂取名)

this is only available for cold drinks

只有冷飲會提供超級無敵大杯

and you can only get them in the States

目前也只在美國販售

Grande is Italian for large

“Grande” 是義大利文的 「大」

venti means "twenty", trenta means "thirty"

“venti” 則是「二十」，而 "trenta” 是「三十」(對應著飲料容量盎司的數字)

When it comes to Starbucks

在星巴克裡

there is a variety of different coffee types that you can get

有好多不同種的咖啡任君挑選

Today I’ll be showcasing some of the more popular ones

今天我會介紹幾個最受歡迎的飲品

卡布奇諾

卡布奇諾 in English is Cappuccino

卡布奇諾的英文是 Cappuccino

Next, 拿鐵

下一個，拿鐵

拿鐵 in English is Latte

拿鐵的英文是 Latte

Then we have, 美式咖啡

然後我們有，美式咖啡

美式咖啡 in English is Americano

美式咖啡的英文是 Americano

And then, 摩卡

再來， 摩卡

摩卡 in English is Mocha

摩卡的英文是 Mocha

Next up, 濃縮咖啡

下一個，濃縮咖啡

濃縮咖啡 in English is Espresso

濃縮咖啡的英文是 Espresso

Next, 焦糖瑪奇朵

接下來，焦糖瑪奇朵

焦糖瑪奇朵 in English is Caramel Macchiato

焦糖瑪奇朵的英文是 Caramel Macchiato

Last, and my personal favorite, 星冰樂

最後我個人的最愛，星冰樂

星冰樂 in English is Frappuccino

星冰樂的英文是 Frappuccino

Frappuccino is a new word

“Frappuccino" 是一個新創的字

made by combining frappe, a kind of milkshake with ice cream

是結合 “frappe” 這個字，一種冰淇淋奶昔

and cappuccino

以及 cappuccino 卡布奇諾這個字而成的

Finally, let’s take a look at

最後我們來看一下

一個星巴克杯子上會有的不同功能格

低咖啡因咖啡

低咖啡因咖啡 in English is decaf, short for decaffeinated

低咖啡因咖啡的英文是 decaf，是 "decaffeinated” 的縮短版

濃縮咖啡計算單位

濃縮咖啡計算單位

濃縮咖啡計算單位 in English is Shots

濃縮咖啡計算單位的英文是 shots

For espresso shots, you can ask for a single shot

你可以按照需要選擇要在咖啡裡加多少份的濃縮咖啡，可以加單份

a double shot, a triple shot, or even a quad shot

雙份，三份，甚至是四份的濃縮咖啡

糖漿 in English is Syrup

糖漿的英文是 syrup

There is a ton of different flavored syrups

糖漿有不同種的口味/風味

that you can choose from at Starbucks:

那星巴克有很多很多種可以讓你自己挑

caramel, hazelnut, vanilla and more

有焦糖、榛果、香草等等

牛奶 in English is Milk

牛奶的英文是 milk

You can choose whether you want

你可以選擇你要

whole milk, non-fat milk, or soy milk

全脂牛奶、低脂牛奶、或是豆奶

客製化 in English is Custom

客製化的英文是 custom

For example, you can tell them that

像是，你可以跟他們說

you want "no foam", 不要泡沫

"no foam” 不要泡沫

or "no whipped cream", 不要鮮奶油

或是 "no whipped cream” 不要鮮奶油

飲料名稱

飲料名稱

飲料名稱 in English is Drink

飲料名稱的英文是 drink

For example

舉例來說

I got a Caramel Machiatto the other day, so it says CM here

我那天買了一杯焦糖瑪奇朵，所以他這邊就寫了 CM

So there you go,

所以就是醬

the most basic English terms that you’ll need to know at Starbucks

在星巴克裡，你會需要知道的最基本英文詞彙

So next time you’re at Starbucks, you would know your stuff
