Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Hey guys! So a couple of months ago I took a very early bus over to Tokyo so that I could line up to go to this event called POPBOX And it took place at a Loft store in Shibuya If you don't know what Loft is, it's a department store chain in Japan that sells lots of really cool stuff Each floor has different stuff like stationary, makeup, homewares and stuff like that But the POPBOX event that I went to was a showcase of a whole bunch of artists and their artwork And you could get signatures from them, watch them painting live, you can buy their artwork, lots of really fun stuff going on I got there really early so that I could line up outside because one of my favourite artists, Konatsu, was there and I wanted to make sure that I was able to buy her stuff When I got inside I saw that they weren't allowing us to film and I was really sad because I wanted to really share her stuff with you guys. She's freakin amazing! I just love her artwork so much. If you follow me over on my other channel, Sharmander, you might have seen the haul video where I showed you what I purchased there. But it's a shame that I couldn't show you guys all that was going on inside the event because it was really fun and lots of really cool artwork to see But fast forward to now, I got the coolest offer ever! Probably the best one since I've started YouTube Loft contacted me and wanted to work together with me to show you guys the artwork from the event. And I was just blown away, I kind of felt like it was a dream when I read the offer because I wanted to show it to you guys and I was so disappointed when I couldn’t. And now they’re asking me to, and yeah it’s just really freakin awesome! I’m gonna show you guys some of the artwork from the show, and you can buy it at POPBOX events around Japan And you can also buy it online, I'll be talking a little bit more about that later I’m so happy that I can show you guys this stuff! Now let’s start with my favourite, Konatsu So if you watched the haul video, you might have seen these already. But I’ll just show you guys quickly, what I purchased when I went to the event myself I got a couple of these really cute pencil cases. I’m just in love with this. And I also got this one which looks a little more like traditional Japanese artwork And I got some adorable decals. I also got this Negora figure. Is this not the most adorable thing ever!? Ah omg! I’m so so happy with the purchases that I made. And just wait till you see what they sent me to show you guys. Now I pretty much was very close to crying when I opened this box because this was the first thing that I pulled out. Ta-da!! It’s a large Negora figure. Now this is a sofubi figure. Meaning soft vinyl, so it’s made out of soft vinyl. It's a hollow vinyl figure If you wanna learn more about how sofubi are created, go check out my other channel, Sharmander I have a video all about the process over there! But is this not the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen!? It makes me so happy, just looking at it. And all the variations she makes of Negora figures and drawings, it’s always different colours and it’s in different stories. And there’s just so much to choose from. It’s so much fun collecting them, so this is my new collection at the moment, is Negora. I really hope to increase my collection size because I just love it. The Japanese name of this toy is Daio Negora no Hyougara Ba-jyon so in English that would be something like The Great Negora, Leopard Print Version The next thing they sent me is one of her art books. Now I own both of them, so I already have this one. So I’m going to be sending this one to one of you guys. So if you would like this, please leave a comment down below and I will choose one of the comments randomly. Negora is Konatsu’s most famous character, however she does have other characters such as this Shiba-inu monster called Shibara and there’s also a 9 tailed fox monster called Kyubirosu. Leave a comment down below, I will choose one of you a week from the day that I post this video and I will announce the winner in the description box of this video one week from now so please come back to check who the winner was I have a couple more pieces to show you here. This is one of my favourites because it reminds me of my cats. It’s an adorable pin that I’m going to put on my backpack. And here is another broach, this one is made out of felt. Again, like lots of different things to choose from. I love the variety. It’s not just figures and drawings, there’s little pins and very cute pencil cases. Little bird parfaits, a sheet of stickers. This is one of my favourite items that I received. It’s a little comic book. Look at the little Kappa on the back! Again, a traditional Japanese character that she’s incorporating into her artwork. And it’s just the most adorable comic book ever. So that is Konatsu! I will leave her Twitter down below if you would like to follow her for more updates on her shows and events and where you can check out her artwork online. The next artist I’m going to show you guys is Fukamachi Naka-san. She specialises in drawing people and couples. This first item is an art book filled with really really cute couple pictures. I just love the simple style of it. There are also really adorable items like this cute little pouch. I love how it’s designed. It cuts off their legs here but then they continue, over on the other side. Again some super cute keychains. A little fabric pin. Hopefully you guys can see that, it’s kinda small. And a phone case! I will link her social media down below if you would like to follow her and check out some more of her artwork. And the last artist I wanna show you guys some pieces from is Imai Kira. Again, a female artist. Really really cute stuff. If you’re into pastels and girly/slightly creepy vibe I think you’ll really like this stuff. It’s right up my alley. Really cute pastel designs like this pin here. This is a PASMO holder actually, a train card holder. Gorgeous mermaid. You just keep your card in the back there, that’s so nice. Large decal. This one might seem interesting if you’re not familiar with this but this is decorative masking tape, which is kinda a big thing in Japan. Among artists and crafters anyways. Let me see if I can open this up and show you guys what it looks like. It’s lots of fun for decorating greeting cards or wrapping presents. Or DIYing something in your room. Stuck in on my arm here so that it stands out a little more. But isn’t that so cute? Wouldn’t that be adorable for like wrapping up a present? You could stick it on a little wooden box to decorate it or something. I just love these decorative tapes, they’re so much fun. As someone who likes to put stickers on everything they own, this is just perfect for me. And the last item I have here is a file folder. Beautiful girl on the front, and on the back theres some beautiful butterflies or moths, I can’t tell. Flowers. Do you see what I mean by it’s feminine but slightly creepy at the same time? As someone who’s totally obsessed with pastels, as you can see… if you look around my house. I just love her stuff, I think it’s so beautiful. I will link her social media down below as well if you would like to check her out. So if you would like to purchase any of these things, you can get them either in person in Japan at POPBOX events around Japan. Or you can get them from a site called Omni7 which I will be explaining here how to use it a bit. However this site does not ship internationally, it’s only in Japan. But many of these creators do shows over in America, and other countries. So follow them on Twitter to keep updated on news like that. You may be able to use a Japanese shopping service to get them sent overseas, I’m not positive on that. But maybe try contacting some of the shopping services and see if they would be willing to do that for you. So if you’re located in Japan, you can get these items off the Omni7 website that I mentioned earlier. And when you purchase items off that website, they will be delivered to the 7-11 that is most convenient for you to go pick them up at. So you can have them deliver it to a 7-11 close by your house, or close by your workplace. And then they will be there for you to go pick up at anytime 24 hours around the clock. So it’s super convenient, and they don’t charge any shipping or any service fees at all. I really hope you guys enjoyed this video of me showcasing some Japanese artists that you may never have heard of before. Including my favourite, Konatsu-san and her Negora character, which I am completely in love with! Thanks for watching guys and I will see you soon, bye!
