It is Thursday right now, and we're going to go visit Megan Lee at Soul Shop.

It's the label that she got signed to when she moved out to Korea.

I've known Megan for a little while now. I've done a couple songs with her.

I'm really excited. One, I'm super excited she got signed to a label in Korea.

Two, I'm really excited that we have the opportunity to film something with her.

We'll see how she's doing, and see how the K-pop lifestyle is going.

And we're going to film with Eat Your Kimchi too. That should be cool.

They're the #1 English-speaking Youtube group in Korea.

They're from Canada. They moved out to Korea to teach English.

They created a Youtube channel, and now they're at I think 300,000-400,000 subscribers. It's incredible.

So we're going to film with them,

then tonight we're going to Octogon, which is supposedly the hottest club in Korea.

So Megan's going to take us on a tour of Soul Shop,

and tell us a little bit more about her album and what to expect.

And what it's like going from America to Korea, and making that change.

I'm originally from Los Angeles. I was born in Los Angeles, K-Town.

When Youtube started to really be come popular to post videos,

I started posting videos for around 2 or 3 years.

And that really opened up a lot of doors for me.

I always followed Dan as an artist. I was always a big fan of his music.

One day, we ended up collaborating on Youtube.

I really am shocked for him,

and really really glad for him that he was finally able to meet his birth parents here in Korea.

Seeing the brave journey that he's actually going on, is just really inspiring to me.

So what's going on for you now? After you met your parents, what's the next thing?

I am going to go down and visit them on Monday, at the place where I was born.

Geojudong. So it's by Busan, like 4 hours away.

After talking to a lot of adoptees that still see their biological families, after they've met them

This is something that stays with you the rest of your life.

Really, this trip isn't the life-changing thing.

The life-changing thing is gonna happen after the trip's done,

when I'm living my life, with them a part of it now.

Do you know any Korean slang?

No, no not at all.

Do you want me to teach you?

I'd really like that, actually.

This is something a lot of young kids say, especially the trainees.

There's a lot of cool words I learned, like "Hul".

"Hul" is like "Oh my god".

Hul? Like H-U-L?

Yeah, like hul.

There's also "Ttaebak", which is kinda like "awesome."

I knew ttaebak.

Oh you knew it?

Yeah, ttaebak.

Don't throw up Dan. Don't throw up.

Can I use them together? I could say ttaebak hul?

It sounds like awesome hurling.

He was naturally born that way, he's a very special Korean breed.

The original reason we came out here and contacted you guys was that I'm here to meet my biological parents.

He's a physical therapist.

That's all I know. 'Cause everything's so shocking.

Does he speak English at all?

He speaks a little bit of English.

And you Korean?

No, not at all.

So it was interpretive dance? Sign language?

She was trying to teach me on the way over here, actually.

What did you teach him so far?

Some slang.

I can say huh.

Okay, okay you're off to a start.

Is that a thing that you guys know?

It's that kind of thing when you're saying yes, like huh, like that kind of thing?

Oh, hul!

So I'm not saying it correctly at all.

You sounded like a kung-fu fighter.

It sounds like those things you hear in those old Arirang songs.

So right now we're filming with Eat Your Kimchi, we're in their studios.

This is a real big honor because Eat Your Kimchi and Megan are giving up their time right now.

So this should be really cool.

We'll see what happens.

This is the first time I've had the chance to to see parts of Korea, which is kinda neat.

This is a really good opportunity. Doing this thing where they're showing us where everything's at.

It kinda gives us a nice tour guide that we'd have to pay for otherwise.

This is Parking Lot Street.

It has such cheap awesome clothing, and it's open until 2 or 3 am.

It's only 8,000 won?!
