It's a Good Idea with Angela Oberer
Shower head with a hose Tip #1218
Hi there, I'm Angela Oberer and the year was 1995. That's 20 years ago and my friend Trisha
Santos came to town on business. Now instead of staying at a hotel, she stayed at my place
and when she left, she gave me a thank you gift of a shower head on a hose.
They call these water picks, or shower head on a hose, or a hand held shower head. And
they retail between $16-$40 and you can buy them at Lowes, and Home Depot, Target, Walmart,
Bed Bath and Beyond, Amazon and Ebay. Pretty much anywhere they sell bathroom supplies.
And they come in a wide assortment of bronze, silver, stainless steel, gold and plastic
to match your existing bathroom hardware. Well this turned out to be one of the most
interesting, useful and thoughtful gifts I've ever received.
Now I didn't know what I was missing cause I didn't have one. But once I got one?
Oh my goodness. Okay, so you unscrew the shower head in your
shower and you screw on the shower head attachment. Then you take the shower as you normally would.
The difference is that this shower head comes off the attachment, and because it's connected
to a hose, you can rinse down your whole body in all these hard to reach places, all the
way down to your toes. Now that you have it in your hand, you can
turn around -- you know the mildew that builds up on the shower walls? Because there is steam
in the bathroom and the shower is hot, you can simply hose all that down with this hand
held hose. And you can turn to the shower curtain which builds up all that mold, mildew
and you can shower all of that down and keep that to a minimum.
Now once your bathroom is clean, and I do mean you cleaned the tub and tile and everything
with soap and water and cleanser, you can simply do a hot rinse after every shower and
keep your tub completely maintenance free as far as the cleaning goes.
So every time I take a shower to this day, I think of the thoughtfulness of Trisha Santos,
and I send her positive vibes and I'm thankful, so thankful she introduced me to hand held
shower head. I now have one in every shower in my house, and you should too. It's a great
investment in your personal cleanliness, in your tub and tile cleanliness, it helps conserve water,
and it's a good idea.
It's a good idea.
