Today's good idea comes from a reader Pam K.
If you have ideas you would like to send in, please do: Info@LifeLongProductions.com
We'll do our best we can to respond to them.
She says: (Hey Ange, I know this is last minute, but I'm hoping you can help.
We are taking our three kids today to Steve's parents house for Thanksgiving
and every time we go there there is a big family feud.
Do you have any recommendations for us having a peaceful holiday?
Yes, Pam I do.
Thanksgiving is a time to express our gratitude and to say thanks. So this is a day where
I would like to say Thank You, for understanding that in spite of your differences with Steve's
parents, that you are allowing your children to continue a relationship with them.
That's awesome. Thank you. For you, Get a hand held camera.
Because every time there is an interruption, anytime there is a beginning of a complaint
session, a gripe session, a family feud, a fight, something that breaks out:
"Oh, oh, oh, hang on one second, this is a perfect photo opportunity. Say cheese, right
there, on three. One, two, three. YES! I got it, perfect, check this out." And do you see
how I just did that? I just interrupted our conversation whatever it was and I got you,
however miserable you are, to stop, and to smile for the camera. Because we all know
that what's on the camera gets posted to Facebook, and all the social media or it gets framed
and stays on our mantle for a lifetime. So, carry a camera with you because not only can
you interrupt all of the conversations that start to take a left turn, but you'll get
happy photo memories that will last you a lifetime. So keep a camera with you, and
Happy Thanksgiving. I'm telling ya, it's a good idea.
It's a good idea.
