Hello, I'm the teacher Alan Carmo and they are athletes Tomás Gonçalves and Luã Vitor,
and today we’ll show a pedagogical progression for the 540° kick.
The first thing is sure you dominate the kicks ‘Dougue Tchagui’ and the ‘Mondolho Tchagui’.
So first, let’s do the ‘Dougue Tchagui’.
Now, ‘Mondolho Tchagui’.
Controlling this two kicks, the athlete can start train to the 540° kick.
The first step is learning to keep the leg in the air,
the leg that’s gone to the floor in ‘dougue tchagui’.
You have to can keep this leg in the air.
So, the first exercise.
The athlete will keep the leg in the air and kick ‘Ap Tchagui’ with the other leg,
attention for the kicking leg will return to the floor without the other leg touch the floor.
The second step is the same exercise with a small rotation, with the leg in the air,
the kicking leg will pass over the leg in the air like a ‘Bandal Tchagui’
and making a small rotation.
Now, let’s begin the kick from the backside,
with the backside to the target, begin a rotation, rises the leg and make this movement.
After these three exercises,
is interesting that the athlete try to make the ‘Dougue Tchagui’ keeping the leg than make the ‘Mondolho Tchagui’ in the air.
And finally the 540° kick,
can be done with a step towards or not.
This is our contribution for learning the technique
longed by the taekwondo athletes on the demonstration of martial arts, good luck and good training.
