How to Get Your Kids to Get Better Grades. With a good support team, your kids can accomplish
anything. Get them on the path to earning better grades with these bright ideas. You
will need Pen and paper Planner Patience Rewards and tutor (optional). Step 1. Sit with your
kids and brainstorm and list their goals on paper. Put the list of goals in a place where
they can see it every day. Step 2. Get them organized. Have them write down their assignments
and extra curricular activities in a planner. Step 3. Encourage your children to reach their
goals. Let them know that you believe they can accomplish anything. Step 4. Understand
that your children may learn differently than you do. Help them learn in ways they can understand.
If your child has a learning style that you cannot accommodate, consult with or hire a
tutor who meets your child's needs. Step 5. Check that their homework assignments have
been completed. Assist your kids when are having difficulties. Step 6. Focus on their
accomplishments and not on their failures. Step 7. Reward your kids for their hard work
with privileges such as watching television, using the internet, or hanging out with friends.
