Taiwanese beef rolls make an amazing and tasty appetizer.
And in Mandarin, we call these [SPEAKING MANDARIN].
They're filled with tender braised beef, freshly
sliced cucumbers, and sweet hoisin sauce.
And just talking about them makes me super hungry.
So let's jump right in, because I haven't had lunch,
and I'll show you guys how to make this delicious
Taiwanese snack.
For the ingredients, I've gone ahead
to prepare some green onion pancakes, some slices
of my Taiwanese braised beef shank,
and if you need recipes for these,
I'll leave links in the video description.
We will also need some thinly sliced cucumbers,
fresh cilantro, and some hoisin sauce.
To make the rolls, it's super easy.
Just take a cooked green onion pancake,
spread a thin layer of hoisin sauce to taste,
add some cucumbers, some slices of the braised beef,
and of course, I like to add lots and lots
of fresh cilantro, because I love the taste of cilantro.
Also, for extra presentation points,
you can add some stalks of cilantro
peeking out from opposite ends of the pancake.
Next, carefully roll the pancake and cut
into smaller appetizer-sized pieces before serving.
So that's how you make these yummy Taiwanese beef rolls.
And as you can see, they were super fun
and easy to put together.
And because it's lunch time, and I haven't had lunch yet,
let's get to the taste test.
I love the flavors of the braised beef
along with the cilantro and the crunchiness of the cucumbers.
It's sweet, savory, and I love, love,
love how it's inside a flaky green onion pancake
kind of roll.
Super delicious and highly recommend.
I'm Angel, I hope you guys enjoy this video.
