  • (high Tempo music playing)

  • - Good morning. This is our last day at the cabin

  • and we are off to a rough start.

  • There's been a little stomach bug going through the family

  • and, you know our kids have had moments of nausea

  • but we haven't had anything super serious with our kids.

  • Jeremy woke up feeling super sick this morning

  • and that's hard because we're travelling home today.

  • So I'm trying to get everything packed up

  • and Jeremy is trying not to throw up

  • So Jeremy is really tough about sickness,

  • so for him to be sleeping and not feeling up to

  • helping pack up he must be really sick.

  • He made it out.

  • - Go team.

  • We packed up.

  • (cheerful music)

  • - Now we're saying goodbye.

  • We're saying goodbye.

  • - Find your seat over there.

  • - Bye

  • - Here it is.

  • - This is left, They're saying goodbye.

  • - Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.

  • (Instrumental music)

  • Well we made it to the car.

  • Seriously we had such a fun family reunion,

  • It's just not ending really well.

  • It's hard with Jeremy being sick and

  • also a lot of the kids they're really grumpy.

  • I think they're just tired from how much fun they've had.

  • And so we barely made it to the car

  • and four kids are already asleep,

  • but the problem is we're almost out of gas

  • so we have to stop to gas up, but I don't want to

  • cause I do not want the kids to wake up.

  • How are you feeling?

  • - I think I'm gonna be getting better.

  • It's been a short stomach bug.

  • When people had it its only lasted like half a day.

  • So I think I'm on the recovery scale.

  • - Yeah, he wanted to drive. He's got his Gatorade on him.

  • After the necessary gas up,

  • we now have one child still sleeping and we'll see how long

  • that lasts because Jenay is fussy.

  • Sometimes travelling with little kids is hard

  • but, we're gonna make it.

  • (upbeat music)

  • (baby crying)

  • - Who's ready to fly home?

  • - Me.

  • - No you don't wanna fly home?

  • - No

  • - Sad to leave?

  • - Yeah. I wanna stay with Papa.

  • - You wanna stay with Papa too?

  • - I'm excited to be with my teddy bear.

  • - You have to get back home?

  • How about you. Are you ready to go back home?

  • Hopefully this was the hardest leg of our trip.

  • Here's all of our bags. Everything is all loaded up.

  • This beast has two car seats in it.

  • Check that thing out. The poor sick man

  • will now carry everything.

  • - Lets do this.

  • - Hashtag dad life.

  • Following behind Dad we're gonna walk. Lets go guys.

  • (instrumental music)

  • Poor Jeremy

  • Follow Daddy to the elevator.

  • We're really grateful because at this rental car facility

  • you can actually check your bags.

  • So we're gonna be able to get rid of all the stuff

  • that Jeremy's got right now

  • and get it checked straight over to our airline.

  • (beeping)

  • return to Airport, Are we headed to an Airplane?

  • So usually the early bag check works for South West

  • but today it doesn't,

  • so we have to take all of this on the shuttle. No!

  • (high tempo pop music)

  • - Tiny Tim, He put him in his bath tub

  • to see if he could swim.

  • Miss Suzie called the lady with the Alligator purse.

  • - Lets do it again.

  • ( Soft music)

  • 1,2,3,4,5.

  • (soft music)

  • - We're doing anything that we can

  • to keep them busy while we wait longer.

  • - Take your feet and put one foot on top of the other.

  • (Instrumental music)

  • - Go ahead

  • - Do you have any wipes in here?

  • - So we had wipes in a bag.

  • It's funny we've never had a bag search

  • and we just had three searched.

  • (upbeat drumming music)

  • We're almost home.

  • - Yeah right we're just boarding.

  • - I know, I know.

  • - Guys this has not been our best traveling.

  • - But its not been our worse. Not yet.

  • We are so grateful that we made it to our exit.

  • It is just scary out here, and we were taking

  • every mile, one mile at a time.

  • So that's the tornado siren.

  • (Siren)

  • - So we're heading to the Airport

  • but the Tornado sirens are going off.

  • So I don't really know. Jeremy up here to the left

  • is the Library. Can we pull in there maybe?

  • When you're driving you're supposed to take cover.

  • Okay. Up here on the left there's

  • (high tempo music)

  • - This is insane.

  • So we finally got all the kids to sleep, we're out driving

  • - and the car starts like shaking crazy,

  • and we have a flat Tyre guys.

  • - Isaac are you okay?

  • - Kinda

  • (cricket sounds)

  • I throwed up in the car.

  • - Yeah I'm so sorry you're not feeling good buddy.

  • (bus driving by)

  • - I was actually sleeping when Kendra woke me up

  • and she's like, the car doesn't feel right.

  • And so we pulled over and then this.

  • So we have the family all in the library

  • and they have everyone in a shelter.

  • - So Jeremy dropped the kids and I off at the Library

  • and we hurried in while Jeremy parked the car

  • and came in himself and as we walked in

  • there was a Library employee

  • right at the front and they said

  • thank you for coming in, like take shelter.

  • Like all the bathrooms are the shelter.

  • There's about 20 people in each of the bathrooms

  • and I'm a little shaken up about it,

  • still we're glad that the warning ended

  • and hopefully now we can make our flight on time.

  • The sirens came back on so we're going back in.

  • - There's a pretty big snow drift right behind our car.

  • Pushing the car in.

  • Oh ooh we might have to push the tractor.

  • (high tempo music)

  • - Cubby do you wanna ride?

  • - I wanna ride on it.

  • - Oh sure you can ride on it.

  • - So our flight was supposed to fly out at 6:05

  • and it just updated the status, it no longer says on time,

  • and now says 10:30 departure.

  • - Road closed when flashing.

  • - You guys the I-80 is closed.

  • - Oh my goodness there is something going on up ahead.

  • Slow down babe, here comes more emergency vehicles.

  • Oh my goodness.

  • - Did you see the Pilot

  • (happy upbeat music)

  • - She just pooped a lot.

  • (happy upbeat music continues)

  • (mumbling)

  • (laughing)

  • - You happy to be back in Kansas City?

  • - After a long day, we finally see the van.

  • It's over. We're heading home. He came for us.

  • - Let's do it.

  • - I'm sitting in the middle.

  • - Hop in.

  • - Well we are home.

  • - It's green here.

  • - It is so green in Kansas City.

  • - There was a beautiful sunset that welcomed us,

  • I was too busy like getting car seats in to film it,

  • But it was really amazing.

  • - Hello Kansas City. It's good to see you.

  • (soft music playing)

  • We made it, we're here and it feels so good to be here.

  • We did it. Awww is it hard to be in a car seat? We're sorry.

  • - We're never traveling again, until next month.

  • Today was a hard day of travel but even in the midst

  • of a hard day there were happy moments though.

  • I'm trying to remember those so that I will ever

  • want to travel again and we're going to go to bed

  • so that we can wake up happy tomorrow and have a good day.

  • I just found out I'm balding

  • - Welcome to Jay's house.

  • - Go Cubby

  • - I'm feeling pretty determined.

  • I really want to figure out what this bird is.
