Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Outside the Bible there is no God’s word. All God’s word is in the Bible. (Amen!) Both the Old and New Testament came into being from man’s record after God finished one stage of His work. God never works according to the Bible or works by consulting the Bible, much less does He look for paths in the Bible to lead His followers. Rather, He’ll bestow to man a newer way and do a newer work. Co-workers, I’ve studied the Bible for more than twenty years. I’m quite sure that outside the Bible there is no God’s word. All God’s word is in the Bible. Amen! Any belief against or beyond the Bible is a heresy and a fallacy. Amen! Humph! Sister Feng, you just mentioned that outside the Bible there is no God’s word and any belief beyond the Bible is a heresy, right? Humph! You still need to ask? Who doesn’t know it? All God’s work and word are recorded in the Bible. Brothers and sisters, all those who are familiar with the Bible know that in the compilation of the Bible, because of the compilers’ disagreement and omission, some of God’s words conveyed through the prophets were not included in the Old Testament. This is an acknowledged fact. How can you say that outside the Bible there are no God’s work and word? Aren’t those omitted prophecies of the prophets God’s words? Yes. The Lord Jesus said more words than those in the New Testament. All God’s word is in the Bible. Sister, John 21:25 says, Yeah! All right! Yes! This proves that not all the Lord Jesus’ work and word are recorded in the New Testament. So, the saying that outside the Bible there are no God’s work and word doesn’t accord with the fact. Exactly. Brothers and sisters, we should also know both the Old and New Testament came into being from man’s record after God finished one stage of his work. At first, the Bible only had the Old Testament. All the Lord Jesus’ work and word went beyond the Old Testament. If according to “any belief beyond the Bible is a heresy,” won’t we condemn the Lord Jesus? (Yeah! Indeed!) Brothers and sisters, from these facts we can see the saying “outside the Bible there are no God’s work and word and any belief beyond the Bible is a heresy” is groundless. That’s right! Before, we never thought about this. Yeah! Exactly! Good! That’s right! It’s true! Yes! I never thought of this. Through this fellowship, I understand more clearly. Brothers and sisters, as to the truth in this aspect, let’s see what Almighty God’s word says. Hmm. Please turn to page 950. OK! Brother Guo, please read it for us. (OK.) Yes! Right! Yes! Yeah! Brothers and sisters, over so many years, we all thought that any belief apart from the Bible was heresy. Today, after reading Almighty God’s word, we know: God never works according to the Bible or works by consulting the Bible, much less does He look for paths in the Bible to lead His followers. Rather, He’ll bestow to man a newer way and do a newer work. Brothers and sisters, God is the Ruler of all things. He is not only the Lord of the Sabbath but the Lord of the Bible. Yeah. Right. Of course. God is entitled to do His own work. He can do a new work according to mankind’s need. So, “outside the Bible, there are no God’s word and work, and any belief apart from the Bible is heresy,” this saying is untenable. Yes! Right! Brothers and sisters, through the earlier fellowship, we know that the Bible records the first two stages of God’s work. The Old Testament records the work in the Age of the Law Jehovah God did in Israel, which is what we usually call the work God did in the Age of the Law. The New Testament records the Lord Jesus’ work in the Age of the Grace, which is what we usually call the work God did in the Age of the Grace. God didn’t do the work of the Age of the Law according to the Bible. He didn’t do the work of the Age of the Grace according to the Bible either. None of the works God did was according to the Bible. It’s OK to measure man’s work, preaching, and service according to the Bible. But we even more should measure if it has the inspiration and enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. If we insist on measuring God’s work according to the Bible, we’ll become ones who resist God’s work. Take the hypocritical Pharisees, their work accorded with the Bible, but it had no working of the Holy Spirit. Can such service be approved by God? Though their work was in accordance with the Bible, it had no working of the Holy Spirit. So God didn’t approve of it. They were ones who resisted God’s work and were condemned by God. Can we deny such a fact? They’re right. After hearing this, I feel much more clear. Yes. Indeed. Before, I didn’t understand. Thank God!
