Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Hey guys welcome back to my channel! Today I am here to share with you guys my 2017 Bullet Journal. Now when you first open it up, you'll see the index and to be honest I'm not really one to fill this out. I know one day I will make something cute of it but for now that is not really my priority that is why they're empty. I start out with a cover page of a Polaroid picture that I went ahead and drew out and I like to change this picture every so often. I recently got a Polaroid camera so this has been my newest obsession. I then start out my actual journal with my future log and I just kept it simple. I drew out the calendar for each month and I like to fill this in with the events that I have in the future. Next, I drew out a roadmap and this kind of serves as my 2017 diary I guess you could say or just a recap. And this is where I like to fill in important things or events or anything special that happened in that month. I then have a birthday log and usually I am pretty good at dates but I thought that this spread was super cute so I had to do it. I had to add it to my journal and it has actually helped me. As much as I thought that I could remember everyone's birthdays it has really helped me organize and look at the months ahead of time. Next to the birthday tracker I went ahead and set up a savings page and as you can tell, I have done a fantastic job at saving this year, seeing that we're in April and I haven't really met any of my goals but anyway, the way you do this is you set up a goal and every month if you meet that goal you shade it in and you kind of watch it grow. On the following page I have my 2017 goals as well as my bucket list. And this is just a page where I set my personal goals, my financial goals, and my health goals. And then my bucket list obviously all of the things that I would like to do by the end of this year. Next, I made a movies spread and a restaurant list. Whenever my boyfriend and I are driving around town we see these restaurants that we want to go to and we say "Oh let's write them down" and then we never end up writing them down so guess what? We never end up going. So that is part of the reason why I made this spread so that we could start checking some of those restaurants off as well as movies. We're always getting recommended movies and when we go to watch Netflix we sit there and we scroll and we can never seem to find anything so if you're like us, then this spread will help you. Next, I have a spread for the books that I want to read as well as a Places that I Have Been. These two are kind of unrelated but they just happen to be next to each other. The books to Read page again goes hand in hand with the movies and the restaurants that I'd like to try. I am always seeing really good books out and I want to read them and then by the time I get home I forget the titles so that never happens. And the Places I've Been spread is just a way for me to see the different states that I have traveled to. I'm really hoping that this year, I can shade some of those some more of those in pink. So if you're like me and you want to travel a lot or you do travel a lot this is a great spread for you to see all of the different places that you've been. At least in the United States but you can do this with any country or state. Next,I have my debt tracker and obviously for privacy reasons I had to blur out the numbers but you can kinda see the layout that I used. I just did little blocks and I filled in the number and when I reach that number I shade it in with pink. And for those of you who have student loans or credit cards to pay or any sort of financial goals that you want to reach this is a really great spread to have because the more you fill it in the more motivated you are to get to the bottom and to be debt free or to get to where your financial goals are. Next to the debt tracker, I have my lady time tracker, which is just a spread for me to track my period and this has been really helpful. It is kind of nice to know the different patterns that I have and it is great to know ahead of time when I will be getting that mother nature visit that we all love so this spread is great. Then we go ahead and start out with my months. And this is my January cover. Now, these collections that I just showed you can be done throughout any month. I just happened to put the ones that I knew I was going to use the most first before I started any of my months but you can definitely include collections throughout the different months and I guess that is where the index really plays a role that way you don't have to flip through all of the months trying to find a collection. So since this was my first month in my journal I tried to keep the monthly cover really simple. I just have the basic calendar and then on the side I have my notes, my events, and I believe I have a bills section. Next I have just a bible doodle, a bible verse doodle. And next to that I have my daily devotional. I used to do my devotionals in a my journal but then I got a totally separate journal specifically just for my devotionals so I kind of stopped putting them in this one but as you can see on the next page I still have that. And then next to that I have my January memories and this is just a spread for me to jot down and color and doodle all of the different events and important dates that took place that month. And then on the back of that I actually did a January favorites which ended up going to hand in hand for me with my memories so I got rid of this one and I didn't do it again in my February spread. And then I just did a doodle. I felt like coloring that day so I just ended my month with a doodle. And then we go into February. And this month was actually my least favorite month in my bullet journal so far. I tried to fill in or to do the calligraphy for this monthly spread and I ended up using a marker that was way too dark and I hated it and I tried to save it but it is what it is. That is how you learn with these journals, especially in the beginning a lot of it is trial and error so now I know what not to do for my March spread. And since this month was Valentine's Day I decided to take some time and just jot down a couple of things that I love about my boyfriend. Just being a little cheesy. And on the page next to that, I cut out a heart, and filled in what we did that day as a diary entry. And then this month was also my birthday and I went ahead and did a doodle for this. I just drew a cupcake and I did some calligraphy. And on the next page, I actually wanted to do another like journal or diary entry type thing like I did for the Valentine's Day one but I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it so I ended up just putting a piece of scrapbook paper with a picture of my cake or at least a slice of it because we ate it all before I could a picture of it. And I know that in the future I'll probably want to go back and change that but for now that is what it is. Next I have a Disney movie spread and this is just for fun honestly. I'd love to be able to re-watch all of the movies that I watched growing up. So I made a list of my favorite ones and hopefully I can get some of those checked off this year. So since I did enjoy doing my January memories last month, I went ahead and did one for this month as well. And this is probably my favorite one so far. I had so much fun coloring this one and drawing it and these are such a great way to end your month. So then we go into March, and this is my March cover. And as you can tell for these last two months, I've really switched up this monthly layout and I'm really liking this one. I stuck to it for this month and it was a better way to organize everything especially since I don't really use the calendar. I mostly use the other side, which is where I have my notes, my bills, and my events. And a quote just to motivate me throughout the month. The great thing about these journals is you can really do anything with them so while this monthly cover, this monthly layout might work for me you can definitely interchange it and add anything you'd like to this spread. And this month, I decided that I wanted to try out a March Moods and this is just where you fill in and color in the color that corresponds to the mood that you had that day. And honestly, this is just for fun. At least for me it is. It is nice to be able to look back and reflect on the different moods that I was in and usually it is all pink. I try to be a more happy and positive person but we all know we have some blue days. And next to that I have a Need versus Want spread and this was just for me to be able to prioritize the things that I needed to buy. Don't ask me why I needed to prioritize a pink candle over anything else but that month I did and I actually haven't gotten that candle yet and we are in April, so clearly I didn't need it that bad. But anyways, this spread really helps you if you are trying to watch what you spend your money on or you're trying to reach some financial goals and not spend money on random things. And on the following page, I have a Places to Go spread and this is just simple. I kept it simple with this one. I just wanted to make a list of all of the places that I wanted to go. Next to that I have my Sunday Morning Service Notes from church and like I said, I was putting these in this journal but now I have a totally separate journal for that but for now this is what I did with that page. And then on the following, I did a quote that to me reflected on the service that I had heard that day. I also went ahead and did another favorites spread. I really like doing these. Like I said, it is such a great and positive way to end your month reflecting back on different memories that you shared. And I always have so much fun coloring these in. And then we get into April. Hi April! I kept it simple with this cover, I'm still learning. So again, I kept the monthly cover or this monthly spread the same I just flipped it this time so that I didn't feel like I was being so repetitive and doing the same thing every month. But I kept my notes and my bills and my events section the same. Next, I went ahead and started my April moods again and this month, I set up some goals on the page next to that and those are just my monthly goals, basically the goals that I'd really love to reach this month in April. Now for this Spring Cleaning spread for the next three pages, I don't want to go too into detail because I will be making a video explaining these a little more but basically they're just a way for you to track your Spring Cleaning and to make sure that everything gets done. And of course, since Easter is coming up I had to do another one of those Bible verse doodles. I have so much fun doing these. I try to relate them, like I said, to the service notes but since it is Easter on Sunday, I really enjoyed doing this one. And next to that I just did a little doodle for my Instagram account that I actually have for this bullet journal so if you'd like to get more inspiration from that follow me @journalandchill. And that wraps up my flip through for my 2017 bullet journal. I really hope you guys enjoyed this and found some inspiration by looking at some of the different pages that I have. I will be going more in depth when it comes to May and I will be doing a Plan with Me for May so that you guys can see how I set up my monthly spreads step by step.
