Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles (mother cooing) - [Mother] So clean. (dramatic orchestral music) - Good morning, everyone. Man, this vlog must feel like we're just going back and forth, back and forth, We're at the old house, we're at the new house, We're at the old house, we're at the new house, and that's what life is. Life for us right now is just going back and forth. This room's almost done, it's pretty empty, so that's good, good news there. My office. Julie. Just 'cause mom's gonna take that couch, that's why that's still there, but this is mostly all gone. I love finding stuff like this. BFG, signed by the cast and director. Steven Spielberg, maybe you've heard of him. This is still here. I'll come back for you, good Lego Disney World castle. Wait for me. We still have a giant gourd and a balloon up there, that we need to get at some point. Look at all this stuff we set out to donate. It's so much stuff. Look at this ridiculousness that's happening here. (mother laughs) Oh, hey, cool kid, you're wearing some cool kicks. - Yeah, some new shoes, look at this fella. - [Father] Do those even fit him, Jess? - Look at the back of his thing. - [Father] Oh my goodness, he's got little scales. - [Mother] No, they're like the tiniest shoes ever, and they are definitely too big. But Parker really wanted him to wear them. - [Father] Why is he wearing shoes that are too big? - They're not too big. - [Father] Yeah, they're a little bit, a lot too big. - No. - [Mother] Parker loves him in shoes. Don't you, buddy? - Yeah. This is his first time in shoes. Right, mom? - First time ever. - In his whole life? In his whole life, how cool. - Duncan, you can look back and remember the first time you ever wore shoes. It's today! - [Mother] Today's the day, fella. - [Parker] Today's the day, fella. This is the day, today, felly. - [Mother] Wanna sing him a song? ♫ I love you ♫ I love your shoes ♫ I love your shoes I'm rocking him just like on the car seat. I love you, Duncan. I love you, Duncan, with your shoes. All about with you. ♫ Put your hands up ♫ To this song ♫ You want to have your shoes on ♫ But forget your shoes ♫ Forget your shoes ♫ Put you hands up. - [Father] Hi, buddy. You having a good day? - Yes, he is. But today, he wasn't really. - [Mother] Why, what happened? - He cried a bunch. (Parker exclaims) - [Father] What was wrong? Did you figure out what was wrong? - He needed mommy milk. He needed mommy milk and then he needed Parker, and then he needed daddy, and then he needed, - [Father] I think he's, I think he needed a diaper change. Did he need a big diaper change? Yeah. Was it a real big one? - It was blowout. - [Father] Oh my goodness. Did you blow poop out of your diaper? - He did. - [Father] What? - He did. - Oh, he did, okay. The big kids are at basketball practice, I'm gonna go pick them up. Or basketball camp, summer camp. So I'm gonna go pick them up, and then Duncan has his one month doctor visit today. What a big boy, going to the doctors. Are you excited? I thought so. - And I think we're gonna get official bath approval for him. We've been waiting for the doctor to really sign off on submerging his body in water, so I think he gets his first bath tonight. Yay yay yay! (goofy music) Duncan had a great doctor appointment, no more stinky belly button. He's ready for some great bath time fun, so we'll have a bath party tonight, and hopefully stick him in the sink with his cool little baby bathtub if it fits. I think that would be the cutest and most fun, but we'll see. And he still looks like he's on the tall side, and on the lean side, like 43 percentile for weight and 97th, I think, for height. And then his head (laughs), his head isn't growing as much anymore, so we humbled him, I guess (laughs). I don't know. It's fine, it's just, 75th percentile instead of 80th or something, I don't know. - So disappointing. Really disappointing. 75th percentile. What's he doing? - I don't know, he has a big head. He is currently 23 inches tall, and nine pounds, 11 ounces. How exciting. - He's growing, he's getting bigger. - Big boy. Can you imagine 23 inches in a little nine pound person? A nine pound human. Unreal. Babies are amazing. Things aren't going exactly as planned tonight. We planned on giving Duncan a bath in the kitchen sink, but his little bath thing was too big to fit in there. He's got a little seat, too big. So that's not gonna work. And also, things kind of got crazy at the house and when we got really busy with organizing stuff, so it got too late for the kids to be involved. So they'll see his next bath. Bailey was really excited about it. This is the test bath run. Duncan's gonna take his first bath in this bathtub, and it'll also be my first time in this bathtub. (baby cries) Oh, don't be scared, I'm in it with you, buddy. I'm gonna go in, too. - [Mother] Yay. - Are you excited? You excited? (baby babbles) Yeah. Oh, don't worry, we'll take your clothes off. Don't worry. You ready for the bath? Ready to take a bath? Yeah. This is gonna be fun, or traumatizing. Could go either way. - [Mother] Hey, boys ready for your bath? - Come on, bath time. (baby cries) Oh, don't start that now, look at this. Ooh. Ooh. What do you think? What do you think of that? Ooh. (light cheery music) Ooh. Is that nice? (mother laughs) Yeah, let's get some more. - [Mother] It's like that stuff you swam around in inside mommy. Yeah. - [Father] What do you think? Pretty fantastic? There we go. There we go. Baby wash and shampoo, it's two-in-one, Duncan. - [Mother] This is the little thing you're supposed to use in his hair, wipe it like that. - [Father] This is two-in-one, you're gonna love it. Here we go. That's good, oh yeah. Ooh. Smell that? That's a new smell. - [Mother] Can I smell it? - [Father] You can smell it. - [Mother] Ooh, it's lovely. - [Father] That's a new smell for you. Okay, let's get that hair. Let's get that hair. Does that feel nice? Scrub-a-dub dubbers. Scrub-a-dub dubbers. You're doing a good job. - [Mother] You like it more than any of our other kids. Especially since you got in here with kind of a sour mood. You spent so much time with all that amniotic fluid. - [Father] Let's lift you up just a little bit to get the back of your head. Ooh. Yeah. There we go, ooh. Ooh. (baby babbles) - [Mother] So soft. You okay, baby bear? Hey Duncan. You love your bath, mister? (water draining) Hi, sweetie bean. - Ready, little guy? Here we go. My aunt once described holding a baby during bath time like holding a wet pig. (baby babbles) What do you think? I'm not calling you a pig, don't worry. You ready to go in the water? (mother cooing) - [Mother] So clean. Cleany clean. - Hey, that feels good. - That feels good. - [Parker] Why is dad holding a baby inside of a bath tub? - Look who snuck out of bed during bath time. - I wanted to see if he was doing his first bath, so I wanted to come over here. Is he done with his first bath? - [Mother] Yep, he did a great job. - Is he gonna be, (baby cries) - [Father] We need a towel. - Oh, I'll go get one. Here it is, here it is. - Okay, I'm gonna pass you off to mommy, so I don't stand up in a bath with a baby. - [Mother] Here, baby. (baby cries) Oh, cuddle buns. We have a little rope for him. Okay, let me see. Yeah. - [Father] There you go. - [Parker] I wanna see him flip over. - [Mother] Go, boy. - Hi. Let's talk about what we learned today. We learned that we forgot to pack our oversized gourd. We learned that Parker wants to teach his brother what's really important in life, like shoes. And finally, we learned that Duncan does not like it when you call him a wet pig. Thanks for watching, everybody. We'll see you next time. (baby laughs) (cheery music)
