We are getting into our brand new Model X,

which we love, but this is gonna be a special day.

We are heading over to Fremont, California

to see the new Model 3.

This is groundbreaking.

This is a big day.

So, first things first, lemme get to the airport.

Made it to San Jose, California.

We are going to Fremont, California.

I gotta figure out how to get there.

Maybe a rental car, maybe an Uber.

We are gonna see the Model 3 launch of Tesla's new car.

Hopefully, we get to meet Elon Musk.

We got a car.

But it feels a bit weird to be driving a Ford Taurus

to a Tesla event.

(laughing)

So we're gonna go pick up some friends

and then we are on our way.

Let's go.

Hotel, check.

Rental car, check.

Now to get some really smart tech friends

that can help me understand this car, check.

- Hi.

- (chuckling) Alright, Austin's gonna come with us.

We're gonna go and head up there.

This is VIP experience.

- So I had a flight with someone who actually works

with Tesla, and apparently, anyone from Tesla

who pre-ordered a Model 3 got an invite,

and there are 15,000 employees who got invites, so.

- 15,000, 15,000!

- 15.

Who knows how many people actually show up,

but this could be a really, really big event.

- It really could, which would be fun.

It'll be a lot of fun, and so that's what's gonna be fun

about this video.

You guys already maybe know from whatever hype clip I did

what the VIP experience really looks like,

but it could be really, really good,

or we could be in the back of a lot of employees.

Either way, I'm gonna show you,

and it's gonna be a lot of fun.

First stop before we get there, food.

Austin said if you're in California,

there's only one place to go.

That's the question.

I would imagine a lot of people that are watching

this video are gonna be like, how does that guy

that cuts stuff open get to the Model 3 event for Tesla?

This is my buddy, Eric.

And so he takes basically everything

that's on the Tesla website and puts it on his own website,

TeslaInventory, and then you can search it a lot easier.

It's a lot more searchable.

And then he has YouTube channel where he explains

different things about Teslas.

- Yup, exactly, yup.

- Most of the year, he's the number one referrer

of people purchasing Teslas in the entire world, right?

- Yup, in the world.

- There's a chance we might be able to ride

in the new Model 3, but it's based off of when we get

to the actual place, to the event.

so I'll let you know what step three is,

I love getting to drive these things.

- [Eric] And anything?

- He can talk about it in a couple hours.

- [Chris] Unfortunately, I cannot say anything about it.

- That's the right answer.

I know you're watching this video right now, Elon.

You gotta give Chris some props.

He is sealed to secrecy, and we are less than an hour away

from the unveiling, and he's still not telling us anything.

That's impressive.

Alright, so I'm gonna go and try to get up in this area

so I can look down and see what's really happening

up in there.

We gotta ask this guy.

Okay, up the steps.

Look at all the cars down there.

I spot 'em.

Oh, my gosh, look at this!

There's a Tesla that has some sort of jet pack on it.

I don't know if it's a teleprompter or lighting or.

Right there, that's where he's gonna be speaking.

Here are the cars, our first look at it.

- Okay, this place is starting to fill up like crazy.

We've been here sitting in this spot for about an hour,

and I'm super excited to see Elon Musk.

Honestly, like he better not be like,

watch him be like a hologram.

All those people down there.

It goes all the way up there.

Hopefully, the next thing you see is Elon Musk.

- Sports car.

It has that amazing glass window on the top.

- There's another stage somewhere else,

so my little theory about not seeing Elon Musk

might come true.

Sad story.

I'll hold out hope.

He might come.

- The Model S.

Now, it's, the Model 3, we've really.

[Crowd] Five, four, three, two, one.

(crowd cheering)

- Mission accomplished.

Mission accomplished.

That is awesome.

- The projector that is producing that image,

it is powered by a Model S.

There are now wires.

That is a projector on a Model S.

- [Man] (laughing) You were right.

- And that is what is producing that image.

In the future, well, really, the future being now,

the cars will be increasingly autonomous.

There's the X, the S, and the 3.

Those letters can be combined however you'd like.

(audience laughing)

But hopefully, we can go take a drive of this thing,

test the acceleration, the room.
