- It's time for our segment,
"What's Wrong With These Signs? Signs"
[Five Man Electrical Band's "Signs" plays]
[singers on recording] - Blocking out the scenery
Breaking my mind
Do this, don't do that
Can't you read the signs?
Signs, signs everywhere are signs
[guitar solo]
- [chuckles]
All right, this comes from Cathy Martinez
from New Braunfels?
Texas? Is that right, Braunfels?
"We were driving cross-country and came across this sign."
Says, "Restrooms out of odor."
[audience laughter]
I don't know if that's supposed to be
a good thing or a bad thing, or--
Even the exclamation points are confused.
They're excited and then sad at the same time.
Like "Aah! Uhh.."
You should be glad it's out of odor, I think.
[audience laughter]
Julie Lovejoy from Centreville, Virginia:
"I saw this license plate at the mall.
"I think they meant to say 'fun kids,'
but that's not what I saw."
"Effin' kids."
[audience laughter]
[laughter and applause]
[cheers and applause]
Those effin' kids. [cheers and applause]
[cheers and applause]
Yeah. [cheers and applause]
[cheers and applause]
That's interesting, Clint Eastwood
has the same license plate.
[audience laughter]
That's good, though-- you tell your kids,
"FN means 'fun.'"
That way, when you're in the car,
you can still complain about the effin' traffic.
[audience laughter]
R--Racann... [says nonsense syllables]
[audience laughter]
Rackan Dehabra, from Ontario, Canada--
I'm so sorry, Racann, Rackan.
I don't know what-- Dehabra.
Dehabreh. Deheebra.
[audience laughter]
D-A-H-A-B-R-E-H.
Dahabreh. [laughs]
"This is a sign on a platform at a bus station."
[audience laughter and reaction]
You know, I didn't think you could make--
[audience laughter]
Didn't think you could make a bus station
any dirtier, but they did.
[audience laughter] Thanks for sending those in.
If you see a sign that's not quite right,
please send it to me.
