Good morning. Good morning.
My name is Michele Ho. Can you tell me your full name please?
My full name is Sin Ngor Cheung Isaac.
Can I check your identification?
Of course.
That's fine, thank you.
Now in this first part, I'd like to ask you some more questions about yourself, OK?
OK.
Do you work or study?
I study.
Where are you studying?
I'm currently studying in
the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
What do you hope to do after finishing
your course?
Well I hope that after finishing my course I would become a civil servant, as
an immigration officer.
What are your ambitions for the future?
Well I hope that as I ... when I become a civil servant I would be able to serve
the public by stationing in the immigration counters to ensure that
there will be no dangerous people from coming into Hong Kong like terrorists
and protect the safety of Hong Kong.
What are the advantages of studying instead of working?
Well I think the best thing about studying over working is that
studying gives you, like when you study in university you get four more years to
think about how to plan your life and what do you want to do rather than hastily
going to work and, like you work for the rest of life until your
retirement so that would be ... it could be miserable if you don't stop ... continue
studying after secondary school.
Now let's talk about sports.
What sports are most popular in your country?
Well, I think that most popular sports in my country is soccer, because we Hong
Kongers like to watch football after we've end our work life, and more importantly
soccer is a game that is
popular ... is popular in Hong Kong because there are many
amateur football players, and even range from like 15 years old to 60 years old
and it is a sport where like half of the male would like to play and ...
and after their training or their competition they could hang out
and have a late lunch ... a late dinner together.
What sports did you most enjoy playing when you were a child?
Well I think that the most enjoyable sports when I was a child, I would say it
is (was) badminton because badminton has provided me with a lot of memories
including those where I play(ed) badminton with my father, and it it
brings up some memory of family life and more importantly I get the only sports
metal from participating in the school's badminton team and won a team medal, so that is
quite memorable.
Do people take as much exercise as they did in the past?
Well I say that nowadays people, actually I think they do more exercise than what
that then the people used to be because nowadays
although the people nowadays do not go out for exercise maybe not as much as as
as in the old times, they don't, maybe they don't go playing badminton or play table
tennis so often but they go to gym room which is, I say a more intense exercise
than in the old times.
Why is exercise good for you?
Well, for a start I think
exercise is good for our health as it trains our cardiovascular ...
cardiorespiratory strengths and also it provides us with a training exercise for
muscular ... muscular strength so that in both ways it facilitates our bodies
it enhances our body's strength for intense work.
Now, let's go on to shopping.
How much time do you spend on shopping every week?
Well I say that if include (including) internet shopping I would say about five to six
hours per week, and I think online shopping is a very convenient tool as I
don't need to go outside and I can just stay at home and while browsing through
the internet shopping sites I can perform multitasking.
