今天我們一起用梗漫 rage comics 來學英文吧！

There's a previous film about websites I recommend for reading

One of them is 9gag which has user-made jokes

有提到使用者自製的笑話網 9gag

After that film

推出那部影片之後呢

People often comment that they don't understand the meaning

在留言區下面常常看到很多人說看不懂它裡面的梗

as well as the characters

跟一些角色是什麼意思

They are actually very popular in the USl，called rage comics

這一些是美國流行的 rage comics

In Taiwan，they're called 梗漫 and they're called 暴走漫畫 in China

在台灣叫做梗漫、在大陸跟香港叫暴走漫畫

They are a set of characters with strong characteristics

它們是一組鮮明的角色

You can use them freely

讓人們可以自由運用

to describe a situation

來述說一個故事

Basically，they're for people like me who can't draw

基本上就是像我這種沒有畫畫天分的人

But I'll still be able to use them to describe my daily awkward moments

還是可以使用它來表達生活當中的囧事

Their facial expressions are exaggerated

雖然它們的表情都非常誇張

You can probably know by a glimpse

可能看一眼就大概知道意思了

Since someone said they don't understand

不過既然有人說看不懂

We'll use rage comics as our teaching material

那我們今天就來用梗漫當作是教材

and check out their English names

來看一下它們的正式英文名稱吧

This is the most basic character in rage comics

這個是 rage comics 的基本款一號表情

derp is actually a sound

那 derp 這個單字是狀聲詞

the sound of...

它是...

the sound of a retard...

它就是...腦殘會發出來的聲音…

It's true，seriously

我…這真的是這樣子

I don't know how to explain it in a better way

我不知道要怎麼樣更好的可以解釋它

Because rage comics are often describing retarded daily life

因為這一些梗漫通常是在形容一些腦殘的日常

Derp is no doubt the most suitable character

所以 Derp 就自然而然變成了一號男主角

If it's a girl you just neet to add some brown hair

那如果是女主角的話就是加上一圈棕髮

and you'll get Derpina

叫做 Derpina

a masterpiece

精緻的畫作

They seemed to have Chinese names in China

在大陸這兩個人好像有中文名字喔

Derp is called 王尼瑪，Derpina is called 王尼美

一個叫王尼瑪，一個叫王尼美

The translation is...Masterpiece

…真是翻的出神入化

This is troll face， which you'll want to punch him in the face

這個表情是欠揍的 troll face

there is an lol version of it

那還有另外一個在大笑的版本

it's called troll lolol，you'll even wanna punch him more

troll lolol，更欠揍

There are many meanings of troll

troll 這個單字有很多意思

In the beginning, it appeared in World of Warcraft

最一開始是像比如說魔獸世界裡面的食人妖

as a type of monster

它是一種怪獸

But if it's an Internet slang

不過呢如果是拿來在網路世界上使用的話呢

It means 酸民

它就是酸民的意思

So when you say he's a troll，it means that

所以當你說 he's a troll 意思就是

「He's a 酸民，we shall just ignore him 」

「他是個酸民別理他」

If you use it as a verb，he's trolling，it means that

那如果你用動詞 he's trolling 意思就是

「He tried to provoke you，just ignore him」

「瘋狗在亂叫別理他」

This troll face often comes with words like

那這個 troll face 很常配上一些標語

u mad bro? or problem?

比如說 u mad bro? 或者是 problem?

When you wanna provoke someone

就是那種你知道想要挑釁的時候

you'll use this face

就會用這張臉

This is the guy who complies by saying okay

這個表情是用在心不甘、情不願的時候

so the tone shall be like，okay...

語調要這樣子 okay…

We won't talk about the meaning

這個梗漫沒有什麼英文好說的

cuz you guys all know what okay means right

okay 這麼簡單，大家應該都知道了

所以我們就直接來看一下它使用的情境

with this face

okay 這個角色是我個人最喜歡的

It's called why you no guy，aka yuno

叫做 why you no guy，簡稱 yuno

It's questioning someone

它就是在質疑別人

why not do blah blah blah

「為什麼不怎麼樣怎麼樣去做」

It's actually kinda Chinglish

這個其實是中式英文嘛

「你為什麼不」why you no

「你為什麼不」why you no

You add a verb behind it

那它的用法是在後面直接加上一個動詞

for example「你為什麼不去死」is y u no go die

比如說「你為什麼不去死」就是 y u no go die

Grammatically correct should be

這句話正式的英文應該是要講

why don't you go die，right?

why don’t you go die 對不對

or why don't you die

或者是 why don’t you die

But that's the beauty of the Internet

不過呢網路美好的地方就是

Grammar doesn't matter

這麽爛的文法也都可以被接受

What's it's relationship with Jesus?

那到底為什麼會跟耶穌扯上關係呢？

American are mostly Christians

這是因為美國是一個基督教的國家

so they developed sayings like oh my God

所以他們會發展出 oh my God

and Jesus Christ

或是 Jesus Christ 這一種說法

At first they're just asking for God

一開始是你知道一種對神的呼喊

but it eventually became a way

但是到最後就發展成是一個

to express surprise

口語化在表達驚訝的說法

so sweet Jesus is like something

那 sweet Jesus 這個是在

that you would say when you're happy

開心的時候會說的話，類似是在講

「Sweet Jesus」like this

「啊！上帝是美好的」這種感覺

so this perverted face is called sweet Jesus face

所以這一張爽臉才會叫做 sweet Jesus face

It's like you are so excited that you're about to...

也就是你爽到某一個極致的時候可以用到
