Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Quotes 63.Today, we have a quote from Richard Bach. He was the author of Jonathon Livingston Seagull and this is a quote I've heard before. I've actually I remember many years ago I actually seen it on a T-shirt. " If you love someone set them free, if they come back they're yours. If they don't they never were." Okay let's look at the note here. This quote basically means that you cannot force someone to love you or you should not try to hold on to them in a suffocating way. Suffocating almost like they can't breathe. If you let someone go and they return perhaps it was destiny or perhaps the person who left learned to appreciate your good qualities with your absence and discovered that they truly loved you. So yeah so if you love someone set them free if they come back then they're yours. If they don't return perhaps the love or bond was not strong enough to begin with or perhaps it was just not your destiny to be together. All right and you may remember who's a while ago now is but 20 years ago or maybe even a little longer Sting made that song too. I think he kind of stole this this quote or at least part of it in his song. You know if you love someone, you know set them free. Free , free set them. free. Kind of like that. So he actually took part of it too. Anyway I think it's a good quote. I hope you enjoyed it. I hope you got it. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
