  • Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Verb Phrase 85. All right. The verb phrase

  • today is to flip out. Okay. Let's take a look at the note here. If someone flips

  • out, he or she becomes very angry, very excited or completely crazy. So these are

  • three different things. So the examples I gave today each example is of one of

  • these. You know and they are pretty different. So we can flip out in at least

  • three ways. All right. Well let's look at number one.

  • When our husband saw what she did to his car. He flipped out and started screaming,

  • So this one of course is, is angry. Like oh my God ! What did you do to my car? I

  • can't believe it, You know something like that. So he flipped out. Okay. Let's look at number

  • two. When my teenage daughter got to meet her favorite teen idol , she flipped out

  • screaming in joy. Yeah !That's also flipping out. So and this one of course,

  • she's very excited she flipped out she was very excited to meet one of her

  • favorite teen idol in person. Okay, good and let's look at the third one. Which is

  • the most serious. After his wife left him, he flipped out and lost his mind. While

  • this means completely crazy, meaning he really went crazy. He flipped out. So we

  • can mean it in a more serious way that somebody actually loses their mental

  • faculties. They really kind of lose their mind. They go crazy. Okay. Anyway I hope
