Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Lesson 364 and the title of today's lesson
is the aim of doing something not the aim to do something. So we follow this
pattern. We say the aim of + verb ING. Okay. So let's take a look at the first
example. Again here with the X , this is always wrong.
She went to law school with the aim to become a lawyer. No. We don't say that aim
to do something. Of course with the check, this would be correct.
She went to law school with the aim of becoming a lawyer. So we do something
with the aim of doing something verb ING. Let's look at number two here. Again
with the X this is wrong. He went to England for three months and studied at
a Language Center with the aim to improve his English. No. We say this he
went to England for three months and studied at a Language Centre with the
aim of improving his English. Okay and the last one here. Again with the X.This
is wrong. The government passed that law with the aim to reduce crime. No. They
passed that law with the aim of reducing, verb ING, reducing crime. Okay. Anyway, I
hope you got it. I hope it is clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
