Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Lesson 366. The title of today's lesson is judge someone by something , not for or with something. Okay. Let's look at the note here. So of course, we mean that we judge someone by their actions or we judge someone by their behavior. Not you know, for their actions or for their behavior or with their actions or with their behavior. Okay. So let's look at the first example here. Of course with the X this is wrong. We say every year , each worker or each employee is judged for his performance in an annual review. No. This is wrong. You shouldn't say each worker is judged for , you should say each worker is judged by. With the check this is correct. So we say, each year ... every year, each worker is judged by his performance in an annual review. Okay. Good, Number two. Again with the X. This is wrong. Every man will be judged for his actions. No. Every man will be judged by his actions. That's the way you should say it. Or the last one here. What kind of criteria will you judge them with ? No. What kind of criteria will you judge them by ? So we judge somebody by something. We judge them by their actions or we judge them by their behavior. Anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it's clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
