Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Nick, you tweeted something out today. I said, I'm going to see you in a few hours. So I thought I would let you make this big announcement now. Well, I said, I want to make the announcement tomorrow, though. I know. But I want you to do it today. You owe me because remember, we just talked about how you were so sorry that you haven't been here sooner. Yeah, you kind of owe her. So this would make us even? I'm thinking so. But I have a whole like plan for tomorrow. All right, I'm going to ruin it then. How-- I love this. I'm going to show you a clip, and it's going to ruin your um-- I'm going to show you a clip. I gave you a chance. Nick Jonas, how you doing, buddy? I heard that you're going to be a new coach on The Voice. And I wanted to-- [APPLAUSE] --first of all, say congratulations, I guess, but second of all, voice some concerns that I have. I'm going to have to look through the rules, because this is my TV show. I'm not sure that you're even old enough to be a coach on The Voice. But I'm certain that you're going to get your butt kicked, buddy. Welcome. Hey, what's up, Nick? Kelly here. I just want to say congratulations. I do definitely feel like the two Texans should maybe team up and form an alliance. I'm just saying. Nick Jonas, it's John Legend. Your new co-worker. Welcome to The Voice. I just have to tell you one thing, our mission is to destroy Blake Shelton. We'll have to form an alliance-- me, you, Kelly. We team up. We beat Blake. Nothing else matters, OK? Deal? I'll see you soon. [APPLAUSE] That's going to be so fun. Well, I guess-- Yeah, do you have an announcement to make? It's appropriate for Cat Week. The cat's out of the bag, yeah. I am so excited about this. I will be joining as one of the new coaches for The Voice. Basically, the first people I've told. So thank you for being a part of this special moment for me. And just to be clear, Blake, I'm going to kick your ass. And I think Kelly's point about joining an alliance might make sense. John, I love you. But we've got to figure out-- we're going to have a side conversation and figure some things out. No, I think it'll be great. That's going to be really tough because I think a lot of people are going to want to have you as a coach. I hope so. Yeah. You know, in addition to the competitive spirit, which would be natural because I'm very competitive, I think I'm actually looking forward to really trying to help any artist that comes on the show and wants to grow. And as weird as it is, Blake, that I'm so young, it's exciting to have had a now nearly 20 year career. Yes, well, there you go. 20 year career. That's-- I mean, you started younger than him. He started-- he's what 69, 70? How old is he? 83. How old is he? Yeah, he's old. He started late. He's easily 68. Yeah, up there. On a good day. You should be nervous, though. I think-- [SCREAM] 00:03:00,000 --> 00:03:03,365 That was so-- [APPLAUSE] Wow. That poor guy's been hiding in that box for-- A long time. Wow. Yes. Nick does not do scare well. As you can see, he's masking it with drinking a glass of water. I told them before if she does this, I'm afraid I might kick somebody or punch them if they pop out. So I'm glad I didn't. I think we have to go to break. But first we'll see-- let me see that. You should be nervous, though. I think-- [SCREAMS] [LAUGHTER] 00:03:39,000 --> 00:03:42,515 That brought me a lot of joy. All right-- Hi, I'm Andy. Ellen asked me to remind you to subscribe to her channel so you can see more awesome videos, like videos of me getting scared or saying embarrassing things, like ball-peen-hammer, and also some videos of Ellen and other celebrities if you're into that sort of thing. God [BLEEP].
