(inspiring instrumental music)
- My name is Andrea Christina Issler-Fisher
and I am the Burns Fellow at Concord Hospital.
I just always knew that I wanted to do burn surgery.
I think my inspiration were my parents,
who both have a very meaningful job,
and it's very important for me to have a job
where I can make a change and make a difference.
The skin is the body's largest organ.
It's also the connection, obviously,
from ourselves to the outside world.
It's what people see from the outside.
If we actually can change a person's life and help people,
and get them back on track, back to their normal lives,
that's a very good feeling.
It's very exciting to be a member of a team
which does treatments which are cutting-edge,
and we as a team were able to provide this service
to a patient and the first patients came back
and say like, "Oh, this was fantastic!"
And that was one of the most rewarding moments
in my career in the public sector.
Ultimately, it's all about
the patient's end result and outcome,
being in an environment of people trying to achieve
something for the greater good, and I believe
a lot of people in the public sector
have that way of thinking.
I like going to work, I like what I'm doing,
and I'm passionate about my profession.
