  • - Hey everyone, I'm Mindy

  • from Cute Girls Hairstyles.

  • And Rylan's here today to help me

  • teach you guys the CGH Split Headband.

  • Now, before we begin the headband,

  • if you guys love our channel,

  • be sure to give us a thumbs up,

  • and subscribe to our channel right here,

  • so we know that you're watching and love it.

  • Now, on to the headband.

  • Okay, you can see that I've just begun

  • by parting her hair from ear to ear,

  • and pulling the rest of her hair back into a ponytail.

  • She has some whispies on the front of her face,

  • so I wet the hair down just slightly

  • right here in the front.

  • I'm gonna by the ear and just

  • part off a small section of hair,

  • and once I have that section in place,

  • I'm gonna secure it with an elastic.

  • And I like the elastics that match her hair,

  • just so they hide a little bit better as we progress.

  • Now I'm gonna create a second section,

  • just slightly higher than that first section.

  • And again, secure it with an elastic.

  • And this is where we begin splitting.

  • So we're going to take that second section,

  • and split it in half.

  • Take the first section and pull it

  • straight through the middle, like this.

  • And then you can just throw these back over

  • and secure em with a clip,

  • so that they're kinda held out of the way.

  • And we're going to create a third section.

  • Now, our third section is going to include

  • the ends of the first section.

  • And now we're just going to repeat

  • pretty much the same process,

  • so we're going to split this one open,

  • we're gonna take those ends from the second section,

  • straight through, flip this back over,

  • clip it out of the way,

  • and create a fourth section that includes those ends.

  • (upbeat music)

  • When I get to this last one,

  • I'm gonna go ahead and split it again,

  • and run that last section through it,

  • just like we have before,

  • but on this one, I'm just gonna take

  • all of em at the very end and kind of

  • put an elastic right here

  • and secure them together.

  • Now, you'll notice that I placed the elastics

  • towards to back of that part line,

  • cause I want em sitting back on her forehead a little bit.

  • The rest of the hair you can just release

  • and using a couple bobby pins,

  • you can just secure that against the scalp,

  • and you should be able to

  • pretty much hide that last elastic

  • underneath the hair.

  • Now, this is cool and it looks great,

  • but we're gonna really take it to another level

  • by going back and pulling on that back strand,

  • so on that back piece of hair,

  • we're just gonna give it a little pop

  • by tugging it and pancaking it.

  • (upbeat music)

  • And what that does is give it a really fun

  • almost kind of like a little bit of a crown effect

  • that pops off the top of her head right there.

  • Let's do the final spin...

  • Be sure to subscribe to our channel you guys,

  • and give us a thumbs up if you love our videos
