Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Our job is to fix this toilet seat. It's had an accident, and as you can see, it's very badly cracked. I have gloves. That is a necessity because of what we're working with, some water, sponge, and a bit of cleaner to make sure that we can get the toilet clean whilst we've got it off. We do have the new toilet seat. Again, a very easy operation. First things first, rubber gloves on. The first job we’re going to do is take the nuts off and then lift the lid off. All right? The nuts are on the underside and they actually hold the lid on. We'll take those off. We'll undo those. That's one side. Now, the other side. Okay, they're undone. Now, we can just lift the lid off. You can see there are the two bolts. We'll just put that aside for now. As you can see here, under the seat where we've undone it, it's grubby. What I'm going to do first, before I put the new one on, mold killer, bacteria killer, whatever, just to get rid of all this muck. What we’re going to do next is put the new lid on, which is that one there. What we're going to do, we'll put these in there as such. Take the wing nuts off. We'll slide this in here now. Wing nuts. Again, just a little bit of patience. Same on this side. Okay. All right, so we've now got the lid on. We've tightened up the wing nuts on both sides so they're nice and tight. The whole thing is now clean and it's now a fully-functioning lid. It's tight. It can lift up and down easily. That's it. The new lid is on.
