I like to treat people the way I like to be treated.
And, I try and do that when I take care of my patients and the families, and try and
care for them and understand what they’re going through.
I just feel like I’m a person that likes to help people.
I feel that they need help and I want to be there for them.
I like coming to work every day because in my department, we’re like one big family.
To be able to be at the bedside in the valley with some of these people and walk through
that valley with them, hold their hand, encourage them.
It is not just the patient, it is the family, I pray with them, I encourage them, I educate
them, I hold their hand, I am there when they take their last breath.
It’s easier when you love what you do and do what you love and I’m blessed to be able
to do that every day.
