- [Voiceover] Hi, I'm Scarlett
with Scarlett Scales Antiques.
I've been in business for a little over 10 years now
and my old store was actually in one of Franklin's
only existing shotgun houses.
We recently expanded to a much larger space
right around the corner, which is in an old
Sears and Roebuck house that they ordered
from the Sears and Roebuck catalog.
My family were among the first to settle
Williamson County long time ago.
In fact, I grew up in my family's ancestral plantation home
and I've always been surrounded by antiques.
It's just always been a part of my life.
My parents liked to go antiquing as a hobby
when I was young.
At first, I kind of got dragged with them
and didn't really want to have to go.
Then I became more interested in it and just developed
a passion for antiques and a love of old pieces
and finding them new homes and decided to open
an antique business and make my passion my living
right here in Franklin.
