How come you want to go back to school and be a social worker?

So well, when I was five years old, my mother

and I, our family, we lived in a shelter, a homeless shelter.

And it was during that time when there

were programs like Big Brother Big Sister that would

come to the shelter and visit.

And that really impacted me and it made me realize that,

at that age, even, that there were resources that were

out there for people like us.

And so now, I'm going to social work for mental health

and substance abuse.

Because I want to help the veterans.

Because the veterans I feel like they need someone

to advocate for them.

And they need a lot of help.

My dad was a--

My dad is retired Air Force.

And so, honestly, my whole family on both sides

are military affiliated.

So I feel like they need someone to advocate for them.
