Recently, Mark Wahlberg was here to promote
his new movie "Spencer Confidential,"
and to see me, because we're buds.
And while he was here, I asked him to film something
with a fellow fitness enthusiast, but they were busy.
So I paired him up with Andy Lassner.
[LAUGHTER]
Please enjoy "Slow Walking with Andy."
[MUSIC - UNK, "WALK IT OUT"]
(SINGING) Now walk it out, now walk it out,
now walk it out, now walk it out, now walk it out, hey!
Hello, slow walkers.
Today I'm here with fellow fitness enthusiast,
Mark Wahlberg, who obviously has heard about my program
and got really excited and asked,
is there any way I could get in on the program?
But Mark, what we're doing here, just so you know--
I was gonna say-- oh, yes?
--it's called "Slow Walking with Andy 2020,"
and what I want people to do is walk for 20 minutes, slowly,
20 days out of the month.
So I'm saying it's better to move a little--
Yes.
--than to not move at all.
Oh, I completely agree with that--
So you're endorsing the--
--work out with a trainer--
This is you endorsing the program.
I would suggest that you walk slowly,
but I do recommend a little bit more intensity.
Oh, sorry, I'm not listening.
I took my incline up to 6.0.
What?
Oh, nice.
All right, well, our goal is to sort of get
swole and buff like you.
Oh, I don't think that's gonna happen.
But it's good to be-- it's more like,
I think of it more like a meditative thing where you can
kind of really, you know--
No, no, it's more of an exercise--
--breathe and--
No, it's not a meditation--
--and enjoy the atmosphere--
It's, yeah.
You can--
It's not really meditative.
--one with nature.
Here's the problem.
As someone who always has to be fit for movies and all
that, you understand what it takes to have
the kind of discipline I have.
I see some sweat.
Under here?
Schvitzing.
[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]
Wow.
Are you feeling anything?
I'm getting tired--
Right?
Because--
--of your BS.
OK?
Listen.
OK, I'm gonna listen.
No, go ahead.
Do you want in on this program, like financially?
Would you want a piece of this?
Um, I think we could probably sell these treadmills for about
$500 and get rid of those.
He's making jokes, but you take your shirt off
and you're [BLEEP] Mark Wahlberg.
I take it off, it's not great.
[MUSIC - JUSTIN BIEBER, "YUMMY"]
(SINGING) Yeah, you got that yummy, yummy, yummy-- and so--
Yes, but do you realize that the biological clock is
ticking, too, right?
I wanna thank my guest today, "Slow Walking with Andy 2020."
Our new sponsor.
Let's pick up a little speed.
There's no running in this program, Mark.
I want to thank--
Well, I just wanna make sure you get a little bit of a burn.
Right now you haven't even--
This is not what I'm cut out for.
--burned off a crumb.
[INTERPOSING VOICES]
Say goodbye.
Close out the show.
I'm trying to close it out.
I want to thank my guest, Mark Wahlberg, my new celebrity
spokesperson.
Yeah, so we need another little more heart rate.
OK, seriously?
That's a 15 incline!
Well, that's OK.
Honestly, I'm gonna have a heart attack.
You're a stud.
What happens when I fly off and go into the wall?
I think it's just--
OK.
--just drywall, so, you know.
All right, we're good.
We're good!
[MUSIC - UNK,"WALK IT OUT"]
[APPLAUSE]
(SINGING) Now walk it out, now walk it out,
now walk it out, hey!
If you don't-- if you don't follow Andy Lassner on his
Instagram, he slow walks every single day,
and you can follow him and slow walk along with him.
And it's an interesting Instagram.
You should follow him.
