  • and chef who really knows his way around the kitchen.

  • [audience laughter]

  • [cheers and catcalls]

  • [cheers and applause]

  • That's a martini.

  • [cheers]

  • I'm sorry, who's this for?

  • [James Bond theme plays]

  • [cheers and applause]

  • This is your fourth time playing Bond, and will this--

  • I've read that it'll be your last.

  • Will this be your last? - I don't know.

  • I mean, it's-- you know, it's a funny thing.

  • I got asked the question two days after I finished shooting

  • whether I'd like to do another one,

  • and my answer was fairly short and sweet.

  • - Yeah. Does it take--how long are you shooting that for?

  • - It's an 8-month shoot.

  • But we're do--I'm working on it for two years,

  • so it takes up a big chunk of my time

  • and I'm away from my family, and--

  • You know, I just want to go home at the end of it,

  • so I don't even want to think about it just at the moment.

  • I mean, if I did stop doing them,

  • I would miss them terribly.

  • - And you're so good. - Oh, you're so nice.

  • - I think you're a great James Bond.

  • [cheers and applause]

  • - Thank you. - You really are.

  • [cheers and applause]

  • And you get--you just--I mean, they get better and better.

  • It's always exciting and it's always--

  • I'm wondering where that suit came from.

  • I don't see luggage with you, but you always have a tuxedo--

  • - It's a James Bond movie. - Oh, okay, all right.

  • - There is, there's a little luggage somewhere.

  • There's a tiny little case, you know?

  • 'Cause it folds out.

  • It's like this big. Yeah, it's a James Bond movie.

  • - You could do something like that.

  • And then I also heard, which I think is very cool,

  • if you do decide that you won't play Bond anymore,

  • that a woman could play the role.

  • - Sure. - Really?

  • - Yes. - Wow. Now I said

  • I thought Oprah should play-- what do you feel?

  • - I think that's a good idea. [audience laughter]

  • What about you? - Uh, no.

  • I think Oprah should play it. - Really?

  • But I think you wear a suit incredibly well.

  • - Thank you. [cheers and applause]

  • - I did actually-- [cheers and applause]

  • [cheers and applause]

  • I did--I brought this for you as well,

  • because I thought if you ever really did consider it

  • you're gonna need one of those, which is--

  • - Oh, my God. - Which is a Bond watch.

  • - It's the watch from the movie!

  • [cheers and applause]

  • - So if you wear that, you have the suit,

  • you have the part, as far as I'm concerned.

  • - Well...Oprah, you're out. I'm playing it now.

  • [audience laughter]

  • Thank you so much. That's so sweet of you.

  • - It's my pleasure. [cheers and applause]

  • [cheers and applause]

  • - Um, I hate to-- now you've given me a watch

  • and I'm going to ask you for a favor,

  • but you've got so much pull in London,

  • and we are on the air in India.

  • We stream live in China. We're on the air in Dubai.

  • We're on everywhere, except for London.

  • - Mm. - Um, can you--

  • Can you do something about that? [audience laughter]

  • - I can try.

  • - 'Cause we have a campaign going,

  • Get Elley on the Telly.

  • - I've heard of this, yes. [audience laughter]

  • [cheers and applause]

  • - Right? [cheers and applause]

  • [cheers and applause]

  • So-- [cheers and applause]

  • Seriously, we have-- [cheers and applause]

  • - There you go. - We have a hashtag,

  • \#GetElleyOnTheTelly.

  • If anybody wants to join, we're trying to get this thing going,

  • 'cause I don't know why I'm not on there.

  • - Well, what can I do?

  • - Well, I have something I've written,

  • You can either read it

  • or you can get it to the queen or something.

  • Where's the scroll? [audience laughter]

  • I have something-- - Ah, there we go.

  • [cheers and applause]

  • - Thank you. - So, yeah.

  • If you could just get that to somebody, it would be great.

  • - Do you want me to read this? - If you want.

  • - "Your majesty, the queen. Hey, Liz.

  • Ellen DeGeneres here." [audience laughter]

  • That'll go down well.

  • "I've recently been made aware of an issue

  • "that threatens the long-lasting friendship

  • "between our two great nations.

  • "My show [programme] does not air in England.

  • "With only the well-being of your citizens in mind,

  • "I humbly request that we fix this problem

  • and get Elley on the telly."

  • [laughter and applause]

  • "Sincerely, Ellen--" Yes, I'll do what I can.

  • - Thank you so much. - I can't--you know.

  • I'm not sure when but I will get it to her at some point.

  • - Yeah, if you could just ride your horse to the castle

  • and whatever you do there.

  • - Yes, I will. - I appreciate it so very much.
