  • Hello, everyone, and welcome to another video.

  • Now this is the AMG Radion HD 77 70.

  • More specifically, it's the Sapphire gigahertz vapor extradition releasing in 2012.

  • This $159 mainstream card would have been ideal.

  • For those of you who wanted pretty decent performance.

  • That's a respectable price.

  • This was the first in the 7000 Siri's of GP use to implement sapphires vapor.

  • Ex calling design, which features to copper heat pipes on dhe, is pretty silent overall in operation, which is always a bonus when it comes to graphics cards, this card sat between the high end at 79 90 on Dhe, the HD 77 50 the entry level Budgie option.

  • The average price of one of these in 2018 is $30 euros or pounds, according to the Big Boy dot net website.

  • And I wanted to see what this one could do when it came to running a few modern titles.

  • No, my media apprehension here was brought about by the one gig of Judy are five Aram because, of course, the 77 70 did also come in a two gig variant, so it be interesting to see if this can steal well, play anything with respectable frame rates on settings.

  • So let's get into it and find that out.

  • So today I decided to run through or tested game's at 10 80 p 900 p and 7 20 p.

  • Because, of course, the card may struggle at some of those higher resolutions in some instances.

  • In this case, though, with the call of duty World War two, last year's big cod release, it performed absolutely well near perfectly on the 77 70 at 10 80 p resolution, there will be a few frame drops as the action heats up.

  • But as you can see here with a combination of low on dat, some normal settings, the game did pretty well for itself on this graphics card, averaging between sort of 40 and 60 frames per second.

  • Most of the time now, there weren't too many.

  • It's severe stutters, and I think that this was certainly playable a 10 80 p.

  • Let's turn the resolution down a little bit and see what sort of difference that can make now.

  • All footage today was taken from the opening level at 900 P.

  • After dropping the resolution down, we did see a much improved frame rate of one that stayed mostly above 60 if not all of the time.

  • Now.

  • I can't speak for every level in the game, of course.

  • But here it seemed to do pretty well on the 77 70 which is old, considering that when I first fired the game up at an a t.

  • P, I was getting about four frames per second.

  • I kid, you know, I think one of the settings I had on obviously didn't agree with this graphics card, and turning it down or off simply solved that issue.

  • I wish I could remember what I turned off in order to see that massive improvement with the frame rates 7 20 people forms even better again, you'll see a pretty respectable number during this opening level.

  • The game will look a little worse for it, but if you are pretty keen on sticking with at least 60 frames per second or trying to most of the time, and 7 20 p will probably be the best resolution for you.

  • So just know that 10 80 p is more than doable, with cord World War two on Theseventy 7 70 Gigahertz Vapor Rex Edition.

  • Next up, it's the game Who's spelling will have Children making mistakes in their very important English exams for years to come.

  • This is, of course, fortnight.

  • That's an 80 p.

  • The game ran at about 50 frames per second, just shy off 60 F.

  • P s overall.

  • But of course it will depend on where you are on the map, though I have to say the performance was pretty consistent and it didn't really matter what I was doing.

  • 40 to 55 frames per second was roughly the average here, but the exact figures are, of course, on screen.

  • As always, it was a pretty decent, experienced medium settings we used here.

  • The medium preset, in fact, with 100% render scaling too.

  • If you want a closer to 60 f P s experience, then you will have to turn things down to 900 p, though even then there will be a few drops below that target frame rate, especially as you get into sort of combat based situations.

  • It was very smooth, though I have to say there was literally no static here whatsoever.

  • that didn't really matter.

  • What resolution I was running the game.

  • It performed very well.

  • One.

  • This rise in 5 1600 system with eight gigs of DDR for memory.

  • And I have to say it's quite surprising, to be honest that what they're one gig 77 70 can still do.

  • If you remember, we did actually look at this card back in 2016.

  • We checked out a few games.

  • But of course, a lot has changed in the world of gaming.

  • Many new drivers have come out for this card on DA.

  • Many new games have, of course, come out as well, and they're only getting more demanding.

  • By the year 7 20 p, here was the only way to guarantee yourself more than 60 f.

  • P s with the game running closer to 80 If anything again, it doesn't look as good.

  • But for the best gameplay experience and ignoring a ll graphical fidelity here 7 20 p was definitely the best way to go.

  • Personally, I'd still play 10.

  • 80 p and just be happy with that 50 frames per second.

  • It was still a very nice experience overall fortnight, more than playable on this old card.

  • Now some people seem to think that you've got more chance of finding a one ended stick than you have of finding an optimized, ubi soft game.

  • But here, assessing screen Odyssey certainly make some improvements over its predecessor.

  • A C Origins, for example, are no.

  • A C Origins really didn't like some older cards.

  • Yet with these 77 70 is performing Okay, 10 80 p isn't the best example to show you here, but immediately I'm going to drop the resolution to 900 p.

  • And while there is a slight increase in frame rate, we are still lagging behind that ideal 30 frames per second that I hope to see in this game.

  • Now, of course, everything is on low.

  • Yet the render resolution is at 100% and nothing else has been changed.

  • The anti Ellis ing is even switched on because with it off, the game looks pretty horrible.

  • On the performance.

  • Improvement is literally one or two frames per second.

  • If that so for the sake of JAG is filling up your screen, I'd rather have the anti alias ing switched on here.

  • If we turn things down now to 7 20 p.

  • You'll see that we average 30 frames per second now.

  • This isn't too dissimilar from how the game ran on AM these rising five AP you that we tested the other day?

  • So it's nice to see that the old 77 70 can still handle this game orbit with reduced settings.

  • My game play period here was pretty much comprised off running around this little shipping village.

  • I did wander into the wilderness in some instances of frame, right did improve by about four or five F.

  • P s, though I wanted to sort of give you a representation of how a busy area would perform.

  • And as you can see, I don't think it did too badly.

  • I think a lot of you were probably expecting a worse result myself included.

  • So if you want to play a sea odyssey on this card, then you could do so.

  • They're very mind.

  • You'll probably still experience a few frame drops here in there, especially when it comes to some more intense fighting scenes.

  • No, I initially thought that running faults of Horizon four on the one gig 77 70 was pretty much a lost cause.

  • After all, I did get about 900,000 low memory warnings during my game play, and when I fired the game up, I was given the option as to whether or not I wanted to continue due to the limited V Ram.

  • I'm glad I did, though, on I was pretty surprised to find out it wasn't a big stuttering mess, even on very low wrapped in a teepee.

  • We seemed to achieve 30 frames per second on average, even if there were quite a few heavy stutters here in there, especially if you joined a race with more than one player.

  • For best results, I've found that limiting the frame rate to 30 was ideal, considering we was only getting about 31 or 32 beforehand.

  • Dropping things to 900 p yielded a very similar result.

  • There really wasn't too much difference.

  • In fact, I snore a little bit more stutter.

  • I apologize for the footage here.

  • I forgot to full screen the game, but the benchmark results were taken from the aforementioned full screen scenario, so don't worry about that.

  • Dropping things down even further to 7 20 p and removing the 30 frames per second frame rate cap gave us today's best results, even if there was some stuttering still to be seen.

  • But I think this game is bound to do that.

  • I mean, it's a brand new title at the time of this video, almost the 77 70 years, six years old.

  • And quite frankly, I'm surprised Thegame did even start, so that's always a bonus in my books Now in Rainbow six Siege, I ran the in game benchmark test three times a 10 80 p 900 p and 7 20 p.

  • And once again I was honestly quite surprised.

  • I showed you the 10 80 piece settings briefly there, just to give you an idea of how the V Ram is pretty much exceeded as it has been throughout the entirety off today's video.

  • One gigabyte would certainly appear to cause a struggle for most games these days, but I think so far we've had pretty decent results.

  • I'll have to get hold of a two gig 77 70 once again, though, to sort of compare the two.

  • Let's go ahead and drop things down to 900 p, where we saw yet again, vastly improved frame rate.

  • If I'm honest, there will be some occasions where by the game does slow right down and I can only speak for the endgame benchmark test.

  • But all in all, I think it did.

  • Okay, dropping things down to 7 20 p again, keeping everything at the low preset.

  • And we saw another nice little boost when it came to the average 1% and 10.1% low.

  • F PS figures.

  • I can't speak, as I said, for the actual gameplay, because I did just running in game benchmark tests.

  • But everything seems to be pretty decent here, moving on to our final test of today the witch or three.

  • And here this was actually one of the most demanding games, despite it being well, I think three years old now 10 80 p weird.

  • They mix of low and medium settings yielded about 30 frames per second.

  • I apologize if the footage comes across a little bit statuary, but I hope that you can sort of see that number in the top left there and realize that the game didn't actually perform as bad as it looks.

  • That did take advantage of the on board really of software, which allows you to capture your game play internally much like invidious shadow play.

  • And that's also one of the perks of Theseventy 7 70 years old.

  • But it's not that old that it doesn't include some of the newest features.

  • And when it came to recording game pain, other games there was literally no performance hit.

  • Which is good here, though.

  • As you can see, that didn't quite work out 900 p, and we saw a vast improvement here with a slightly more stable frame rate throughout.

  • This would definitely be the way to play, in my opinion.

  • But of course, you can lower things even further if you like, We won't do so just yet.

  • I'll let you have a little bit of a longer look at 900 p as we explored a wide variety of both sort of open areas and city areas like Novi Grad during the half hour game play with each resolution.

  • Finally, that's drop things down to 7 20 p now, and this was, of course, the best way to play.

  • Who would have thought that it would have been the older game here to put this card through its paces.

  • Of course.

  • The which of three, though, continues to challenge even the most powerful of hardware.

  • Even today, it's sort of like a modern day crisis whereby you're not quite sure how things are going to run over, although I think this card did pretty well considering It's got one gigs of the Ram, and it's certainly held up in some off today's modern titles.

  • Despite what I went into, it thinking would happen.

  • I honestly thought I fire at most games and they would be one big stuttering mess.

  • But it's still nice to see that it's hanging in there and providing respectable frame rates at those lower resolutions.

  • This has been the Sapphire at 77 70 test.

  • I'm sure you're sick of me saying that by now.
