he’s Las Vegas cab driver Geraldo Gamboa

a man with high moral standards that were tested to the limit on Xmas Eve

It all began when an as-yet unidentified professional poker player left a major hotel and hailed

a cab. Now, for some reason, this dude was carrying a whopping US$300,000 dollars in

a brown paper bag.

Maybe the gambler had had a run of good luck lately or maybe he’d had a couple too many

celebratory drinks

After tipping the cab driver five dollars, the gambler hopped out

minus his cash-filled bag.

cab driver Gerardo Gamboa noticed the bag

and somewhat bizarrely

assumed the brown paper bag contained chocolates

Gamboa says he didn’t have a second thought and immediately resolved to return the cash

But we’re gonna assume he had at least a split-second of temptation.

But true to his word, Gamboa and his cab company tracked down the gambler and returned the

dough. The taxi company gave him a 1,000 dollar reward and named him “Cabbie of the Year.”
